Optimystix Entertainment Bolsters Its Global IP Portfolio with Game Changers, a Business Reality Format Hosted by R. Madhavan

Optimystix Entertainment India Limited has formally unveiled Game Changers, an original business reality IP developed by Optimystix and fronted by celebrated actor and filmmaker R. Madhavan.

Designed as a premium, internationally scalable entertainment property, Game Changers will be produced in Dubai for the Middle East market, with a vision to expand across geographies. The show represents a strategic step in Optimystix’s growth journey:

Building a stronger portfolio of owned intellectual property.

Diversifying revenue opportunities.

Creating long-term content assets with potential for format licensing, sponsorships, branded integrations, digital extensions and multi-territory adaptations.

Production is scheduled to commence shortly. At a time when entrepreneurship, innovation and founder-led businesses are capturing global attention, Game Changers brings together compelling human stories, high-stakes decision-making and investment-led entertainment. Startup founders from across the world will get an opportunity to pitch their ventures before an international investor panel, with representation from Dubai, London, Russia and the United States.

“Game Changers is being developed as a future-facing global entertainment franchise, for Optimystix which is more than a new show. It is an owned IP with the potential to travel across markets, attract marquee brand partnerships and create multiple monetisation streams over time. We are combining our proven expertise in creating mass-audience entertainment with a format that speaks directly to the global energy around entrepreneurship, innovation and investment.” Said Vipul D Shah (Founder and Chairman)

“The format goes beyond a conventional pitch show. It spotlights the ambition, resilience, strategy and personal conviction behind promising businesses while giving audiences an inside view of what it takes to build, fund and scale a company in today’s competitive global economy.” Said Rajesh Bahl (Co-Founder and Group CEO)

Dubai provides a powerful launchpad for the franchise. As an international business hub connecting Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas, the city offers access to a diverse founder ecosystem, global capital networks and a rapidly expanding media and consumer market. The UAE edition is envisioned as the first step in a wider international rollout, with future opportunities for regional editions, language adaptations, format licensing and digital-first content extensions.

With R. Madhavan at the helm, Game Changers will bring credibility, warmth and sharp insight to the founder journey. Madhavan’s presence is expected to broaden the show’s appeal across audiences—bringing together entrepreneurs, young professionals, business leaders, investors and mainstream entertainment viewers.

For Optimystix, Game Changers marks an important evolution in its growth strategy. The company is building on its established credentials in high-impact television, film and reality entertainment while increasingly focusing on the creation and ownership of differentiated IP with global relevance.

The project also reinforces Optimystix’s ambition to strengthen market perception as not only one of India’s most successful and experienced production houses, but also as a forward-looking content and IP company positioned to participate in the expanding global entertainment economy. With a legacy of popular programming, strong execution capabilities and an expanding focus on owned formats, Optimystix is creating a pipeline of projects designed to deliver both creative impact and long-term enterprise value.

Why this matters:

Game Changers strengthen Optimystix’s narrative in four important ways:

Owned intellectual property: Unlike purely commissioned production, original formats can create long-term asset value through repeat seasons, regional adaptations, licensing and distribution opportunities.

International expansion: A Dubai-led launch gives Optimystix a strategic entry point into the Middle East while creating a platform that can potentially extend into other global markets.

Multiple monetisation channels: The format can potentially generate value through broadcaster or OTT deals, title sponsorships, brand integrations, format licensing, digital content, event partnerships and future editions.

Stronger corporate positioning: The show showcases Optimystix as a company evolving beyond conventional production services into globally relevant, technology-enabled, IP-led entertainment.

About Optimystix Entertainment India Limited:

Optimystix Entertainment India Limited is a diversified media and entertainment company listed on NSE Emerge, with an established presence across television, feature films, OTT, digital content and animation. Over the past two decades, the company has created and produced more than 160 television shows for prime-time programming and received over 75 industry awards. Its celebrated portfolio includes some of India’s most recognised entertainment properties, including Comedy Circus, Crime Patrol, Baalveer, Rising Star and Laughter Chefs, along with successful feature films such as OMG 2, Khel Khel Mein and The Diplomat.
As it enters its next phase of growth, Optimystix is focused on building owned and co-owned intellectual properties, expanding its film and regional-content portfolio, developing animation and digital-first businesses, and using technology and AI across the content value Chain.

In an era where a film’s impact extends well beyond the traditional cinema hall, R. Madhavan’s biographical drama GDN is demonstrating that compelling storytelling transcends all borders. Following a strong four-week theatrical run after its August 7 debut, the film landed on Netflix on September 4 and instantly evolved into a global digital sensation.

At the center of this success is R. Madhavan, whose ability to cross linguistic and regional boundaries reinforces his stature as a true Pan India Powerhouse. Portraying G.D. Naidu, often revered as the “Edison of India”, Madhavan brings a deeply human grit to the screen, capturing Naidu’s fierce determination to build indigenous technology amidst colonial-era resistance.

Supported by a stellar ensemble cast featuring Sathyaraj, Jayaram, Priyamani, and Dushara Vijayan, Madhavan anchors the film with a performance that resonates just as strongly with international audiences as it did with domestic theatergoers.

The film’s digital wave has surged across South Asia and the Gulf region. According to streaming tracking data from FlixPatrol, GDN quickly climbed into the upper tiers of Netflix viewership. In India, the film ranked #2 overall on Netflix Movies. In Pakistan, its holding strong at number 4, reflecting massive cross-border word-of-mouth engagement.

In United Arab Emirates (UAE), the film Surged into the 3rd spot. In Qatar, the film reached the 7th position on the charts. In Bahrain, holding steady at the 8th spot, and in Singapore, breaking into the global charts at 7, GDN has become a global phenomenon.

What makes GDN’s overseas run particularly notable is its emotional universality. The film’s dramatic narrative, highlighting self-reliance, defiance against systemic oppression, and the triumph of human ingenuity speaks directly to the shared history, cultural pride, and aspiration of South Asian communities at home and across the Gulf diaspora.

Industry analysts view the success of GDN as a milestone for biographical cinema from India. Driven by strong reviews and sustained audience recommendations, the movie demonstrates how digital platforms can offer high-concept Indian stories a massive elevation to global screens, connecting effortlessly across borders.

The evolution of Indian cinema relies on visionary artists willing to step outside their comfort zones to champion fresh, unexplored narratives. A select group of Bollywood star-producers have taken monumental creative leaps by backing their own ventures—whether it’s R. Madhavan’s impassioned biographical drama Rocketry: The Nambi Effect or Saqib Saleem’s daring turn in Baby Do Die Do. Here is a look at five actor-producers who broke the mold with self-authored risks:

#AamirKhan – Lagaan

Lagaan was the maiden production of Aamir Khan Productions, a banner which did not pre-exist the film. It came into existence at a time when no producer was willing to bankroll an unconventional story. Aamir Khan decided to finance a film where his belief was, a noteworthy risk on its own. The film released. It made history. And so did Aamir Khan.

#RMadhavan – Rocketry: The Nambi Effect

R Madhavan marked his directorial debut with Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, while also helming it as its writer, producer and a lead actor. Through this biographical drama, the actor spotlighted the life of Nambi Narayan, a scientist at the Indian Space Research Organisation, who was accused in an espionage case and later exonerated. At times when glamour and over-the-top storytelling continue to be the safe bet, R Madhavan undertook a bold risk by mirroring one of the many realities of a respected figure.

#SaqibSaleem – Baby Do Die Do

Saqib Saleem sat on the producer’s chair for his latest release, Baby Do Die Do, produced under the banner of Saleem Siblings alongside Huma Qureshi. In one of the sequences of the film, Saqib took center stage with Alpha Q song, a daring and off-beat track rarely explored in Hindi cinema. Saleem cast himself in this queer nightclub number in his own production venture, which is exactly the self-authored creative risk and a shift we’d been waiting to watch.

#AnushkaSharma – NH10

Anushka Sharma has been synonymous with taking risks on-screen, as an actor and a producer, and she did exactly that with NH10, a gritty thriller that brought realistic portrayals of honour killings. Producing and headlining an unusual film that did not fall into the confines of a traditional Bollywood template turned out to be just enough of a risk, which worked. NH10 emerged as a sleeper hit.

#RichaChadha & #AliFazal – Girls Will Be Girls

Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal backed Girls Will Be Girls under their banner Pushing Buttons Studios and explored a sensitive narrative of self-discovery, sexual awakening and domestic tension, concepts that have been rarely tapped upon in Hindi cinema. The internationally acclaimed 2024 coming-of-age drama received incredible recognition and the Independent Spirit John Cassavetes Award, an audience prize at Sundance.

With these actor-producers taking the lead, Bollywood enters a new phase of serving entertainment that creates a futuristic shift.

90s and the early 2000s saw an entirely different era in Bollywood wherein actors tapped into their subtle shades and defined the romantic genre with charm and a kind of softness that raised the bar of romantic heroes. Today, the same romantic heroes of the 90s have flipped the tables by entering their villainy era, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats with a compelling screen presence and a chilling on-screen personality. Take a look:

#SanjayDutt – KGF Chapter 2 – Having defined his range in his initial years with Khal Nayak, Saajan, Rocky and more, Sanjay Dutt stepped into the shoes of a raw and menacing antagonist Adheera in the blockbuster KGF Chapter 2. The actor, known for his versatility and a striking ability to exude terror with his expressive eyes, received praise for his imposing screen presence and also for bringing a real gangster feel with his Viking-inspired look.

#SaifAliKhan – Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior – Saif Ali Khan, who dominated the early era with his boyish charm and boy-next-door appeal, delivered a widely acclaimed performance as the deadly antagonist Udaybhan Singh Rathore in the hit release, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. Audience and critics praised his menacing and dark portrayal, noting it as one of the highlights of his career.

#ArjunRampal – Dhurandhar & Dhurandhar The Revenge – From oozing the ultimate romantic hero feels in Dil Ka Rishta, Dil Hai Tumhaara to reigning terror as ISI Major Iqbal in the latest phenomenon, Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar The Revenge, Arjun Rampal has touched corners of versatility. The audience strongly feels that the actor brings incredible believability to portraying negative characters on-screen, often becoming the natural pick to breathe life to grey-shaded characters.

#RMadhavan – Shaitaan – Maddy ruled back then in Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, and now R Madhavan rules as the chilling Shaitaan! Though the actor continues to carry the charm of the iconic Maddy, his off-beat outing in Shaitaan displayed a new shade of his versatility. At times when the audience hadn’t expected him to step into a grey shade, the actor dived headfirst!

#BobbyDeol – Animal – You know him in Aashiq, Barsaat, Soldier and more, but it surely seemed like Bobby Deol hit a reboot by stepping into the shoes of the chilling villain named Abrar in Animal. He ignited a new wave, setting the standard of villains in today’s Bollywood. From the viral introduction scene to the gruesome climax, Bobby Deol earned all due praise and appreciation for the right reasons.

From romantic heroes of the 90s to the beloved villains of today, these actors have truly registered full-circle moments in their film careers.

In an industry driven by star image, only a rare few dare to dissolve their persona completely and disappear into a character. These actors don’t just play roles – they become them. From drastic physical transformations to mastering dialects, body language and psychological depth. These are not just actors. They are cinematic chameleons – and audiences can’t wait to see what shape they take next.

Here are Bollywood’s ultimate shape-shifters who constantly leave audiences stunned.

#RandeepHooda: Randeep Hooda is synonymous with fearless transformation. Whether it was his heartbreaking physical transformation in Sarbjit, the intense embodiment of a revolutionary in Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, or slipping into complex characters in Main Aur Charles and a fitness coach in Sultan, Hooda has consistently altered his body and psyche for authenticity. From his Hollywood outing Extraction as mercenary to ambitious projects like Battle of Saragarhi, Jaat, and his upcoming film Eetha, Hooda has repeatedly pushed his limits – shedding weight, building muscle, changing posture and internalizing accents to match each character’s reality. He doesn’t just act; he inhabits.

#AdarshGourav: Adarsh Gourav has quietly built a reputation as one of the most committed actors of his generation. From the globally acclaimed The White Tiger to the quirky crime world of Guns & Gulaabs, the urban realism of Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, and the rooted storytelling of Superboys of Malegaon, Gourav adapts seamlessly. In his latest film Tu Yaa Main, he plays a local rapper from Nalasopara – mastering Mumbai’s street-side lingo and performing rap sequences himself. From changing his physique to experimenting with piercings and altering his accent, Gourav goes to any extent to make his characters believable. His international leap with Alien: Earth further proves his range transcends borders.

#RMadhavan: R. Madhavan continues to surprise audiences with his commitment to transformation, even decades into his career. Be it the rugged intensity in Dhurandar, the layered performance in Shaitaan, the meticulous portrayal in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, or impactful appearances in Kesari Chapter 2 and The Railway Men, Madhavan has consistently reshaped himself physically and emotionally for his roles. With his upcoming Tamil series Legacy, he once again proves that age is no barrier to experimentation. Whether it’s weight gain, weight loss, or subtle changes in demeanor and voice modulation, Madhavan embodies reinvention.

#RanveerSingh: Ranveer Singh might just be Bollywood’s most flamboyant chameleon. From bulking up and sporting long hair in Dhurandar and Padmaavat going bald for Bajirao Mastani, adopting a raw street vibe and rap culture in Gully Boy, to perfectly mirroring the body language and energy of Kapil Dev in 83, Singh reinvents himself every single time. His ability to alter posture, dialect, facial expressions and even energy levels from one film to another makes him one of the most versatile actors of his generation.

#AamirKhan: Aamir Khan is often called Bollywood’s “Mr. Perfectionist” – and rightly so. Long before physical transformations became a trend, Aamir set the benchmark for immersive preparation. From sculpting a wrestler’s physique and later gaining significant weight for Dangal, to experimenting with age and appearance in Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir has consistently reshaped himself for authenticity. In Laal Singh Chaddha, he sported a long beard and embodied the look of a Sikh man with complete conviction. For Mangal Pandey: The Rising, he grew long hair and a thick moustache to convincingly portray the revolutionary freedom fighter.

#GulshanDevaiah: Gulshan Devaiah is one of the most versatile and fearless performers in contemporary cinema. Known for his willingness to experiment, Gulshan has repeatedly surprised audiences with his dramatic physical and psychological shifts. In the anthology Ghost Stories, he underwent heavy prosthetics and body-suit transformation to portray a terrifying, man-eating beast – disappearing entirely behind makeup and movement. In Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, he delivered a dual-layered performance – playing the flamboyant, long-haired contract killer “Chaar Cut Aatmaram,” a merciless antagonist with eccentric body language, and a physically challenged karate master – all while recovering from a real-life knee operation.

Gone are the days when villains were all about loud evil laughs. The new Bollywood has introduced a fresh meaning behind villains, with substantial actors proving that quiet menace, deadly eyes and controlled chaos can be more unsettling, terrifying and apt villainy! Here’s looking at 6 actors who shot up the menace meter as dangerous villains.

#ArjunRampal : In Dhurandhar, Arjun Rampal played villainy, and he committed – as the Angel of Death, ISI Major Iqbal. With a screen presence so strong, Rampal created a wildfire all over the internet, with his intense torture sequence, golden tooth, dense beard and steel-cut expressions. Who was once a lover boy of the early 2000s has redefined what it means to be a villain in the Bollywood of today. As ISI Major Iqbal, the actor brought a slow-burning danger that creeps under your skin rather than shouting for attention!

#AkshayeKhanna : Akshaye Khanna, as Rehman Dakait in Dhurandhar, proved that he’s one of the finest actors of Bollywood. Screen presence first, expressions next – the result? Lethal performance, one that’s ruling the internet and shows no signs of slowing down! Akshaye didn’t shout; his silence and conviction did all the talking, making him one of the most chilling villains Bollywood has seen in recent times!

#ArjunKapoor : Arjun Kapoor surprised many by playing Danger Lanka in Singham Again! Taking a detour from this boy-next-door image, Arjun leaned into raw aggression and moral darkness, proving that he can touch corners of being an actor! Arjun’s villainy was loud, violent and completely unrestrained, a performance that stayed with the audience long after the credits rolled!

#RanveerSingh : Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat was unfiltered, unbelievable, unforgettable, and absolutely peak performance! A role that did not limit himself, but one that let him explode on the screens! From the film’s climax, to chilling gaze, pause, dialogue delivery and the conviction that made Ranveer Singh – Alauddin Khilji and Alauddin Khilji – Ranveer Singh.

#BobbyDeol : Bobby Deol made the ultimate comeback as Abrar in Animal, and served a performance that stayed with the audience. As Abrar, he showed what controlled brutality can look like, and emerged as a sensation! From his viral glass dance to the classic climax sequence, Bobby Deol made a comeback that was not about just drama, but purely on-screen intimidation!

#RMadhavan : In Shaitaan, R Madhavan nailed the fact that the scariest villains are the ones who look calm on the surface level! With his unbeatable acting finesse, Madhavan made everyone question how thin the lines are between good and evil!

These actors not only shot up the meter of deadly and menacing, they showed that the villains are also about chilling silence, explosive rage and unsettling calm – all that serves peak cinematic moments.

The curtains rose at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai today amidst unforgettable fan frenzy as fans from across India joined the event to witness Jio Studios and B62 Studios unveil the explosive trailer of the most anticipated DHURANDHAR, an action-thriller event set to redefine Indian cinema. Based on the incredible true-life events, and tipped as the biggest and boldest release to close out 2025, the film is a pulse-pounding look into the high-stakes world of covert operatives, where every decision is a matter of life and death, and the battle for the nation is fought in the shadows.

National Award-winning director #AdityaDhar, the director of Uri: The Surgical Strike, brings an epic saga commanding an unparalleled cast, headlined by #RanveerSingh in his deadliest avatar yet, alongside an ensemble of cinematic heavyweights: #SanjayDutt, #AkshayeKhanna, #RMadhavan, and #ArjunRampal, with a compelling debut by #SaraArjun.

The Dhurandhar trailer is a declaration of war—a relentless 4:10-minute glimpse into a narrative where the lines between hero and operative are violently blurred.
The Men Who Fight the Invisible War: Voices from the Frontline
The creators and cast stepped onto the stage to share their experience of building this cinematic spectacle.

Director Aditya Dhar (The Creator) on the film’s genesis: “Dhurandhar isn’t just a film—it’s a raw, visceral truth pulled from a deeply personal core. It is a tribute to the silent architects of our world, the extraordinary men and women whose monumental work never makes the headlines. My lens on ‘national duty’ rejects easy jingoism; it’s about honouring the grit, the pain, and the real sacrifice of service. I am relentlessly drawn to India, a nation of endless, inspiring complexity—its culture, its contradictions, and the profound sense of duty that pulses beneath it all. This project is the most challenging, ambitious, and personal film of my career. It was built on a grand, uncompromising vision, brought to life by the absolute faith of Jyoti Deshpande and Jio Studios and the tireless, dedicated effort from the team at B62 Studios. My deepest gratitude goes out to my entire cast and crew, both Jio Studios and B62 teams, and now, we hand this truth over to the audience.”

Jyoti Deshpande (The Studio), Producer & President – Jio Studios, RIL promised a global-level cinematic experience: “Every now and then in the life of a studio comes a story that must be told, that is so clutter breaking in form, structure and thought that it is sure to change the order of storytelling. Dhurandhar is one such story. Raw, real and packed with purpose. Aditya has a very unique and special lens when it comes to storytelling and there is no one better than him to captain this one. B62 and all the amazing technicians handpicked for this film as well as Ranveer, Akshaye, Sanjay, Madhavan and Arjun have all come together to give their career best and create something that is nothing short of magic on screen. It is an absolute privilege as a proud Indian to bring this hugely entertaining yet profoundly important story from India to the world”.

Lokesh Dhar (The Producer) emphasized the project’s magnitude: “Dhurandhar is the embodiment of our creative mission: to tell fresh stories in a unique way. We built an international production with an Indian heart—period. Handling a film of this colossal scale, with this calibre of cast and technical arsenal, demanded meticulous, unprecedented planning. To deliver this level of authenticity and visceral impact, we have gone to extreme lengths. Every single frame, location, and set piece is designed to bring a serious, undeniable heft to the action-thriller genre. This meticulous production is the ultimate testament to our motto. Dhurandhar is a cinematic first, a legacy move for both B62 and Jio Studios, and we are supremely confident the audience will be floored by the sheer magnitude and originality of our effort.”

Ranveer Singh (The Wrath of God) : “We wanted to create a feature presentation that’s at par with any film in the world. Our attempt was to level up in every aspect of the cinematic process to create a film that we as Indians can be proud of.
Its raw, its gritty and is unapologetically Indian. Aditya has pitched it perfectly. It’s an incredible and complex story, with world class technical execution and intense performances. We wanted to make an unapologetically Indian film that gets counted amongst the most elite instalments in this genre worldwide. I believe it is India’s moment to shine on the global stage. And we aim to be at the heart of that moment and that phenomenon whilst honouring and staying true to our roots.
It’s been an experience of a lifetime collaborating with Aditya on this courageous endeavour. We are grateful to be partnering with Jyoti at Jio Studios who has flexed her might and left no stone unturned in backing this brave leap in Indian cinema.”

R. Madhavan (The Charioteer of Karma) on his calculated role: “Aditya has sketched characters that bristle with emotion and intelligence. I play Ajay Sanyal, the voice of strategy, a puppeteer in this high-stakes game. The world we created strikes that perfect, rare cinematic balance of realism and scale. This isn’t traditional heroism; it’s about minimalistic, effective intensity when the consequences are absolute.”

Arjun Rampal (The Angel of Death) on navigating moral ambiguity: “Every character here is so similar yet so dissimilar. I was fascinated by the idea of a different moral compass—playing Major Iqbal of ISI, a man navigating the absolute grey. The power isn’t always in the volume; sometimes, the strength is in the quietest moments. This is a massive multi-starrer, but the story ensures every single character leaves a scar.”

The Dhurandhar team also offered insights into the roles of their powerful co-stars:

*Sanjay Dutt (The Jinn): Dutt’s character S P Chaudhary Aslam*, knows the system’s weak points, and he’s the force that exploits them. He is deadly, highly provocative, and completely rooted in the grey. Dutt plays a character who brings cold, controlling intensity to the film’s dark angle.

Akshaye Khanna (Apex Predator): Khanna’s character Rehman Dakait plays the ultimate mastermind whose cunning and sharp intellect are his deadliest weapons. The trailer shows him to be suave, cold, and utterly ruthless.

The film also features rising performer Sara Arjun (The Fresh Infusion) who spoke on her Hindi film debut: “Being part of this saga, surrounded by industry veterans whose work I’ve long admired, has been a blessing I hold very close to my heart. The role I chose was a nuanced one, asking for both strength and emotional depth, and having the chance to bring her to life was an incredibly enriching experience. I feel deeply honoured to have played a role in a story told with such power and heart.”
With its unprecedented cast, uncompromising action, and a narrative driven by duty, sacrifice, and consequence, Dhurandhar is locked, loaded, and ready for release.

DHURANDHAR hits cinemas worldwide on December 5, 2025.
