Reacting to the ban, producer Ritu Mengi issued a strong statement emphasizing that the film’s essence cannot be restricted by geographical or political boundaries.

“India has always believed in the timeless wisdom of Yogis. Through Ajey – The Untold Story of a Yogi, we are simply sharing that journey. Even if the film does not release in Qatar and Saudi Arabia, the story will find its way to hearts across the globe — because this film is an idea, and ideas cannot be banned,” Mengi said.

The ban by Qatar and Saudi Arabia is believed to be linked to the film’s deep spiritual themes rooted in Indian culture. However, the decision has not dampened the makers’ spirits. On the contrary, the team sees this as a reminder of the power of storytelling that transcends borders.

Directed by #RavindraGautam, the film features Anantvijay Joshi in the lead role, with appearances by Paresh Rawal, Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirahua’, Garima Vikrant Singh, Ajay Mengi, and Pawan Malhotra. With music and visuals designed to resonate with audiences on an emotional and spiritual level, Ajey has been described as more than a film — a movement celebrating India’s heritage of wisdom.

Despite the setback in the Gulf, the film is scheduled for release across India and several international markets this Friday.

“I have always wanted to become an actor since my childhood, so I don’t generally crave any holiday, so I would love to answer this question with the hook line of this song. I am on vacation every single day because I love my occupation,” she said.

A self-confessed night owl, she doesn’t even mind doing night shoots. “I love doing night shoots, and when you’re dedicated enough, you don’t feel sleepy at all. In fact, I am a night owl, so I prefer doing night shoots,” she said.

And though Sukoon agrees that a daily soap does mean a daily grind and that it can be physically very exhausting, especially with the summer heat, she feels a good meal can fix all that.

“If you take a proper meal, you won’t feel any exhaustion, sleep, or whatever. It’s just that you need to know how to manage and maintain your body, and moreover, When you want to make the dinner of your audience finger-licking for them, you start enjoying your character and don’t feel any kind of enervation,” she ended.

“Daily soaps mean constant work, of course, but like every other aspect of life, everything has its plus and minus points. A lot of people complain about the continuous work or the number of working hours, but that also comes with its advantages and perks. It’s a regular source of income. Its more like constant employment, and thus provides a bit more financial security! It’s sustainability, because when it comes to any other format, you do a project and then there’s a downtime. But when you’re associated with the daily soap, It runs for a fair bit of time. So for me, l think it’s an advantage,” she said.

“I’m not an experimental person by nature, and I like certain consistency in my life. After working really hard for 20 years, I like comfort at this stage of my life. Ofcourse I need to have creative satisfaction as well. So if I’m happy with a particular show and a role, and if the show sustains and runs for many years, I am very happy,” she added.

Sayantani believes that it’s not just about a show, it’s about a whole team that an actor works with, and who becomes their work family.

“It’s just not your role or your show. It’s also the unit you work with that matters. It’s everybody, whether it’s your makeup, your hair team, the spot dada, the directors, or the co-actors, those people become like a family. And if you’re happy in that family, then if it continues for years, I think it’s a great situation for me because it gives me consistency,” she says . Starting off again and again is exhausting. And then you also don’t know what’s in store for you on the next journey? What sort of hardships are there? Would you gel with people ,will the show work? So if it’s a running train and if I am happy with this journey, I am not complaining about it at all.
