The pride of Uttarakhand Pawandeep Rajan gave soul touching performance on the song Dekha ek khwaab and Humein aur jeene ki. His performance made the judges and Rekha speechless. Big B, Rekha and Nawazuddin in ‘Bigg Boss’?, Prakriti Nautiyal wants them locked-in

The fourteenth season of “Bigg Boss” went on-air in early October. The reality show is currently in its second week with 10 contestants aka freshers and three seniors. Every year the makers get some popular and some not-so-popular faces on-board, but actress Prakriti Nautiyal, who is currently seen in “Barrister Babu”, wants to see Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the show. Now that would be something, don’t you think?

The young actress said, “I would love to see Mr. Amitabh Bachchan ji, Rekha ji, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui ji in ‘Bigg Boss’. They are of course legendary actors but I wonder how their day-to-day life would be on a stage like ‘Bigg Boss’. I would also love to see Ridheema Tiwari ji in the show. I think she is a fabulous actor and it would be fun to see her.”

Sharing her expectations from this season, she said, “I have high expectations because due to the lockdown everything had come to a standstill and ‘Bigg Boss’ season 14’s tag line ‘ab scene Paltega’ and introducing previous seasons’ contestants as seniors has made it very intriguing. The power given to them, like when they were asked to choose a contestant for eviction, makes it unpredictable. I am sure the makers and the contestants have a lot more entertainment coming our way.”

“Bigg Boss”, touted to be one of the most controversial reality shows, is hosted by Salman Khan. The superstar not only grills the contestants on Weekend Ka Vaar special episodes, but also gives them good and bad feedback. Prakriti feels there is no better host than him and said, “After hosting 11 seasons of ‘Bigg Boss’ one has to say that there’s no better host than him. Given the situations, struggles and fights in the house, it takes an ample amount of patience and empathy to calm them down the contestants who are already frazzled.”

“Bigg Boss 14” has contestants like Jasmin Bhasin, Nishant Singh Malkhani, Eijaz Khan, Nikki Tamboli, Jaan Kumar Sanu, Rahul Vaidya, Rubina Dilaik, Abhinav Shukla, Shehzad Deol and Pavitra Punia. The “Naamkarann” actress feels the contestants have not opened up yet but is hopeful they will show their true selves soon. “I have been following the show and I think the freshers are still trying to portray a certain image and are not really opening up. I guess with more tasks we will soon see them come out of the shell and make it much more entertaining,” Prakriti signed off.

The fact that Amitabh never spoke about it but Rekha never denied it has made it even more scandalous. Amid all this, Jaya always maintained a stoic silence and dignity on the matter.

But, there was a time when Jaya couldn’t take it any longer. Reports say that Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha’s affair had become a constant topic of discussion among the industry people. In between all this, when Big B had gone out of Mumbai, Jaya decided to address the issue. Rekha had herself revealed that she was invited for dinner by Jaya Bachchan. She got all decked up and went to her home thinking there would be an argument. However, no such thing happened.

Jaya Bachchan welcomed her with open arms and showed her the entire house. They spoke about everything under the sun but Amitabh Bachchan. Talking about being the other woman, Rekha had said, “No one cares about what I have to say. I’m basically the other woman na? Parents are also embarrassed. Which parents will not be when their son has an affair? And image ki baat hain na. No one looks inside. The other party has this cute bechari image which fits beautifully. The impression is good na? I’m free. The other person can’t do that. Can’t leave him and go away. Mind you, this is a very good quality. If you can kill your desire and stick to someone in spite of knowing that this person loves somebody else, stay under the same roof. It shows strength. I must give her credit. It’s a plus point which I don’t possess. I won’t compromise. Give and take theek hain. But you might finish off the relationship if you compromise.”

Mumbai: That Shatrughan Sinha and Amitabh Bachchan are not the closest pals anymore is a known fact in the industry. While the duo remain civil towards each other, the industry has seen the worst in them at the time of their rivalry. Since there was a lack of good scripts back and the audience was more loyal towards the star they loved; the competition was more fierce and apparent.

While Shatrughan Sinha has always spoken about this rivalry and Amitabh’s desire to either get him thrown out of a film or to not do a film with him, Amitabh always maintained a stoic silence over the matter. In his book, Anything But Khamosh: The Shatrughan Sinha Biography, the veteran actor has spilled the beans on his equation with his star.

“People say that Amitabh and I made a dynamic pair on screen but if he did not wish to work with me, if he felt that in Naseeb, Shaan, Dostana or Kaala Patthar Shatrughan Sinha bhari pad gaya, it didn’t affect me. There were so many films that I dropped out of and returned the signing amount. There was a film called Patthar Ke Log – one of Prakash Mehra’s – written by Salim-Javed…so many films that I gave up without a backward glance because of Amitabh Bachchan.”

When Shatru got beaten up

Shatrughan further revealed, “There was a fight sequence in Kaala Patthar which I had been told would be an equal fight. But along with fight master Shetty who is no more, it was changed to Amitabh beating the hell out of me, beating me constantly until Shashi Kapoor separated us. On this point, I had to put my foot down and protest that this was not what had been narrated to me I had to argue this out and shooting was stopped for three to four hours which irked Amitabh.”

Zeenat and Rekha’s role in their fight

He also spoke about how few industry people added to this rivalry saying, “People say that Zeenat Aman or Rekha also contributed a little to the rift. Maybe they didn’t like something about me and they said something to Amitabh Bachchan, or maybe they said things about me because I knew a lot about them. To strengthen their position, they would be by Amitabh’s side.”

Though the two share a warm laugh every time they meet or give each other a tight hug, we all know, there are some friendships that only last on the big screen.
