This magnum opus chronicles the inspiring journey of Prithviraj Chauhan, tracing his transformation from an innocent young prince to one of India’s bravest kings who kept the nation and his people above everyone. Crowned at a tender age, Prithviraj Chauhan was known for his unwavering dedication to protecting the nation. Even today, the epic battle between one of history’s greatest villains, Muhammad Ghori, and Prithviraj Chauhan continues to stir pride in the hearts of many.

Bringing alive the legacy of this iconic warrior and his lineage is celebrated actor Ronit Bose Roy, who will be seen essaying the powerful role of King Someshwar, Prithviraj Chauhan’s father. Known for his intensity and unmatched screen presence, Ronit Roy has undergone a stunning physical transformation, losing a whopping 8 kgs to embody the persona of the wise and dignified king.

Speaking about the transformation, Ronit Bose Roy said, “To do justice to a character of such stature and legacy, I knew I had to go beyond just understanding his emotional journey—I had to physically transform myself to embody the strength, discipline, and royal bearing that a king demands. Over the span of two months, I lost 8 kgs through a rigorous and highly disciplined fitness regimen. My days would begin with strength training sessions in the morning, followed by intense cardio workouts in the evening. Alongside that, I trained extensively in martial arts and stick fighting to capture the warrior aspect of King Someshwar. These weren’t just physical drills—they helped me tap into the mindset and spirit of a seasoned ruler and protector of the land. It’s been an exhausting but incredibly fulfilling process. The goal was not to just look at the part, but to feel it in every scene. I hope the audience feels the same power and pride that I did while bringing this magnificent character to life.”

After wrapping up the first schedule in Mumbai, the second schedule of Shehzada commences around Jama Masjid, Delhi!

There is natural excitement among the audience to know more about the anticipated project #Shehzada. With #RohitDhawan at the helm and #KartikAaryan, #KritiSanon, #ManishaKoirala, #PareshRawal, #RonitRoy and #SachinKhedkar in the lead, the film ticks all boxes of a blockbuster in the making!

After wrapping the 20-day first schedule on its palatial mansion set in the Film City of Mumbai, the team has moved to Delhi to shoot the exterior portions of the film in Delhi, where the storyline is based. Taking to Instagram, Kartik Aaryan posted a picture of the location with Jama Masjid in backdrop.

From what we hear, Kartik Aaryan and Paresh Rawal will shoot the crucial sequences in Old Delhi. Meanwhile, Kriti Sanon will join the team by the weekend after her work trip to London.

Talking about the second schedule, Bhushan Kumar said, “Delhi plays a pivotal role in Shehzada. The core of the story lies in the portions of the capital. I am sure Rohit Dhawan and the team will do a terrific job in capturing the essence of the city.”

In a similar vein, Aman Gill said, “From the prep stage till now Rohit and I have been most excited about shooting the film in the heart of Delhi, it’s vibrancy brings the true North Indian flavour alive on screen with its old and new structures combined with the early winter weather, which fits perfectly into our film.”

The film is an action-packed family musical film, with music by Pritam. Shehzada is being directed by Rohit Dhawan and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Allu Arvind, S.Radha Krishna and Aman Gill, releasing 4th November 2022.

‘#Shehzada’ started shooting on a massive set in Mumbai yesterday, being directed by #RohitDhawan, it stars #KartikAaryan, #KritiSanon, #PareshRawal, #ManishaKoirala, #RonitRoy, #SachinKhedekar. Producer #BhushanKumar has teamed up with the makers of Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Jersey’ Allu Arvind and Aman Gill to mount this film on a lavish scale.

‘Shehzada’ an action-packed, musical, family film will be shot over various schedules in Mumbai & Delhi in the next several months. Rohit Dhawan is once again collaborating with music director Pritam to bring us fresh foot tapping numbers.

The makers and cast took to their social media accounts today and released the film’s logo giving us a glimpse and vibe of the film, along with announcing the theatrical release date, 4th November 2022.

Producer Bhushan Kumar says “I’ve been wanting to mount a big scale family action-packed musical film for a long time, I’m excited to be teaming up with Rohit Dhawan, Allu Arvind and Aman Gill on this film, I’m eagerly looking forward to the magic Kartik, Kriti, Pritam and the rest of the team will create in ‘Shehzada.’”

Producer Aman Gill says “Rohit has been working diligently and passionately over the last year to mount ‘Shehzada’ in the biggest possible way, we all are excited to back his vision in bringing this film to audiences on the big screen in theatres next year. Allu sir and I are very happy to collaborate with Bhushanji for this film.”

#RichaChadha will be seen next in #VootSelect’s original web series #Candy, where she will be donning the avatar of a cop for the first time. The film will also have #RonitRoy in a lead role and is helmed by #AshishRShukla. Richa is known for portraying ballsy roles on screen and she always makes her presence felt through strong and crucial characters. The series has a mix of suspense and mystery where Richa will be seen investigating sinister murders in a school in a small hilly town.

Richa believes that it is essential for any actor to expand their horizons by stepping out of their comfort zone and doing a role that is complicated and is not simply black and white. She finds preparing for a role tougher than acting for it.

“Portraying the role of a cop was not easy”, says Richa, “it demanded a very different mental makeup. I was lucky enough to hang out with some female cops and understand the dual pressures of managing the needs of the family in the Indian social set up, and working as a law enforcer.”

Music Composer of ‘7 Kadam’, Raajiv Mitra’s, dreams come true after 21 years!

#AmitSadh and #RonitRoy starrer ‘#7Kadam’ is a web series which released on 24th March 2021 on #ErosNow, music of which is composed by #RajivMitra.

Raajiv Mitra started his career with a local music band in Coochbehar. When he stepped into the competitive world in Mumbai, he realized that the war was intense. It took many years, sleepless nights, and ceaseless passion for him to break the barrier and establish himself.

Raajiv reminiscing his earlier days adds, “I came from my hometown with a dream and nothing else. When I reached Mumbai I realized the journey was not going to be easy and I may have to practice more patience. While survival to fight for my dream was a priority, therefore, I took up all possible odd jobs in the music industry. From making jingles to singing at public functions. But I didn’t let my dream die.”

Raajiv has now debuted as a music director with Eros Now’s film 7 Kadam. 7 Kadam is a sincere tale of a father and son who bond through football. It is not a story about football, or about people who love football. It is more about the family, the struggles of a father, and the ambition of the son. If that is all you seek, this is the short series for you. Football lovers might be a little disappointed. Each track takes the story forward in the most beautiful and melodious manner.

Raajiv’s, 3 melodious songs in the film have been sung by Shreya Ghoshal, Javed Ali, and Shafaqat Amanat Ali, from Pakistan respectively. 7 Kadam, is a poignant father-son story. Ronit Roy and Amit Sadh are in the lead roles, set in the backdrop of football, and shot in West Bengal.

Raajiv further adds, ” The beauty of music in 7 Kadam is that it lends emotional weight to the story. I am glad that I had the opportunity of working with renowned singers like Shreya Ghoshal Javed Ali and Shafaqat Ali. Actor Aniruddh Dave says, ‘Directing Ronit Roy for this series is a memorable experience’

Popular actor Aniruddh Dave, who is all set to welcome fatherhood for the first time in his life, turned director recently and the Patiala Babes actor is very excited about his whole journey. He says,”My directorial debut is Jurm Aur Jazbaat which is Shemaroo’s new show. It is a different kind of crime based show and unlike any other in India. Ronit Roy is narrating the entire story in different episodes.”

Speaking about casting senior actor Ronit Roy, Aniruudh adds,”I was nervous when I met him initially and narrated the story as a producer. Ronit Da is one of the most talented actors we have and he has done some great work and continues to do so. He has witnessed the golden era of Indian television. Whether it was the saas bahu sagas, or Mahabharat or Adaalat he was different in each and people still remember him for his performance. Directing him for this series is a memorable experience. Direction was always in my mind, I have always shared this with my co-actors and friends that one day I will direct. To me directing is not only calling the shots, it’s about giving shape to what you have visualised on paper. The team of Shemaroo also supported me and helped me achieve this. Every time I was calling for the action command as a director on set I was referring to him as either Sir or Ronit Da. I have started my career from tv and there is no one bigger than Ronit Da.”

Speaking further on Ronit Roy he adds,”Ronit Roy’s command over Hindi language is too good and the way he formats that through his dialogues is commendable. It was very nice of him to have posted a pic of us on social media when we were shooting in chilly Nainital and also write few lines about my craft. This means a lot to me and is indeed a priced possession. I am grateful to him that my directorial journey starts with a stalwart like him.”

So acting will take a backseat now? “No I am an actor first and I will always be. I have a vision of directing and in the coming days, I will be involved with my craft in various ways.”

Speaking about his inspiration in direction Aniruddh says,”The way of directing also changed a lot. Recently I have seen series like Gullak, Patal Lok and I just loved it. Abhishek Sharma, Prosit Roy are very good directors. I have also always loved Anurag Kashyap’s way of directing.”

During lockdown, Avinash Mukherjee learnt “adoption and remapping” from Ronit Roy

Avinash Mukherjee says he followed advice from his idol Ronit Roy during the lockdown. You ask what it was? It’s “adoption and remapping”. He says he took it as a guru mantra and applies it in whatever situation he is in.

The “Balika Vadhu” star says he kept himself busy with his new ventures and added, “I asked my mentor, Ronit Roy, that you are so successful, you have money and fame, but how do you keep your mind busy, he just said two words – adoption and remapping – I took that as a guru mantra and try to use it whenever I can. So, when the lockdown was announced, I remapped and I thought what productive can be done and how can I solve the problems that will come now, because each situation has its own problem and that gives us different opportunities to serve and to provide a valuable solution to the people.”

Avinash has been part of TV shows like “Sanskaar- Dharohar Apnon Ki”, “Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyar” and is currently seen as Soham Singh in “Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki”. He says it’s the reality of life, i.e. death, that made him want to become an actor, because even when he is gone people will still remember him.

“I have always been afraid of death since I was a child, I think it happens with every child when you are 4 or 5 years old and you get to know the reality of death. You see one of your family members dying and you just can’t see them again. So one day I decided that this field of acting can make you immortal, actors like Irrfan Khan, Rishi Kapoor, Raj Kapoor, they still live in people’s hearts,” he said.

Talking about his dream role, he says it would be something like “Kabir Singh” or Shah Rukh Khan’s character in “Mohabbatein” or Prabhas’s role in “Bahubali”. Asked about his acting masterplan, he says he will not say anything about it but will definitely show it.

For now, Avinash is looking forward to learning samudrik shastra. He said, “I am really looking forward to a subject which was taught in our ancient Gurukul system in India, which is known as samudrik shastra, the art of reading people’s faces as we know it is a difficult world out there with not so simple and very very complicated people.”
