Javed Ali and Himesh Reshammiya have been a part of the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa legacy for several years now. In fact, both the singing sensations were a part of the longest running 8 month season of Li’l Champs, the No 1 talent-based reality season of the year 2017. Two years later, they will be seen together on Zee TV once again, but this time alongside Alka Yagnik. Speaking on associating with Li’l Champs again, Javed Ali said, “It feels great to be a part of the show once again, it’s like going back to your family after a while. I joined the franchise as a judge for the first time in 2011. I have even hosted Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in 2012 and then judged the longest running and historical season in 2017 as well. So, I’ve had some special memories with the musical franchise. To be honest, I definitely can’t fill the shoes of the legends who were judging this season prior to the lockdown, but I will judge the show in my own style. I am a very emotional towards kids, so while taking care of their feelings, we will take the show ahead. In fact, Alka, Himesh and I already have a great rapport and connection, so we will surely have a great time. I know that the shoot system won’t be normal and it will be a whole new level of experience, but I feel everyone is very mature to make sure the safety of the kids and each member is in place. In fact, this time around appreciation of the performances by the kids will be more with virtual hugs, since we won’t be able to touch them.”

Mentor Himesh Reshammiya also added, “I have been associated with Zee TV for over two decades now, most recently during the Silver Jubilee celebration of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Being a mentor on the show several times, returning to Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs is like a homecoming for me after the immensely succesful season of Li’l Champs in 2017 that had a record run of 8 months and was the top-rated singing reality show of the year. I am looking forward to a fresh start with the current season of the show post this lockdown and I hope we receive a tremendous response. In this case Maniesh Paul who was shooting for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has taken some thoughtful steps for his staff. In this scenario Maniesh Paul has helped his staff with their advance payments for their next shoots so that they don’t suffer any losses since they have cancelled all the shoots till 31st of March 2020 and the staffs are not going to get paid till then. Maniesh has also bought them masks, sanitizers, grocery materials, hand washes etc so that they stay indoor and look after their families and stay protected.

Speaking to Maniesh in detail about the situation he shares “I am home bound making sure to follow the rules not going to the gym or any meetings. In times like these, I made sure to pay my house helps, makeup hair spot and office boys all in and all 12-15 people their salaries for the next month in advance. I wont take it back, I just gave it to them to use it in the times of any crisis. They all have kids and they should feel comfortable. Most of them live on day to day or weekly earnings. I have given all of them leaves and told them if i urgently or suddenly need something I will call them, otherwise the all should stay at home. They were getting worried about what will happen and to calm them down I just told them not to worry. This strata is facing the maximum loss. My wife also made sure that we give them ample sanitizers. Also it may sound funny but I also got them all board games to pass time.”

Maniesh shared his experience from one incident which took place on the sets was, _”As we all know Pyarelal ji is known for playing piano which he has stopped playing since last few years, we all requested Pyarelal ji to perform on which he agreed to  join us on stage and played his and my favourite tune on a Piano. Following that all the contestants along with the judges joined him and sung all time favourite song “Zindagi Harr Kadam Ek Badi Jung Hai” from the movie “Meri Jung”. We are were so thrilled and excited and it was out of the world experience to see pyarelalji perfomed live”._
