Chhath Puja, one of the most sacred festivals celebrated with immense devotion across various parts of North India, holds a special place in the hearts of many. The festival stands as a symbol of purity, gratitude, and deep faith in the Sun God also known as Chhathi Maiya. Reflecting on their fond memories and personal connection with this divine celebration, &TV’s artists including #RichaSoni (Reeta, Gharwali Pedwali) and #SaanandVerma (Dr. Anokhelal Saxena, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai) shared their heartfelt thoughts on the spiritual significance of Chhath Puja. Richa Soni aka Reeta from the upcoming show *Gharwali Pedwali* shares, _“Chhath Puja has always held a very special place in my heart. I have grown up watching my mother and aunts perform the rituals with utmost devotion, from preparing Thekua to offering arghya to the setting and rising sun. The atmosphere during Chhath is truly divine, filled with purity, discipline, and gratitude. As children, we eagerly waited for the moment after arghya when we would receive the prasad. My absolute favourites have always been the fruits offered during the Puja – especially Gagar, sugarcane, and coconut. Even today, being away from home, I try to recreate that feeling by observing small rituals and reliving those moments. Chhath Puja is an emotion that connects me deeply to my roots, my faith, and my family.”

Saanand Verma* aka Dr. Anokhelal Saxena from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai shares, “I believe Chhath Puja is the purest festival in the world. I have not seen anything as sacred as this. During this festival, even people known for mischief transform into better versions of themselves, they help the poor, clean the surroundings, and participate in purifying the rivers. The entire environment turns positive, and all negativity seems to fade away. Whenever I listen to Chhathi Maiya songs, tears roll down my eyes, and when I eat the prasad, it feels like tasting nectar. That is how powerful and divine this festival is. Though I currently celebrate Chhath Puja with my relatives in Mumbai, I deeply miss the traditional celebrations back home in Bihar. Among all the offerings, my favourite prasad is Thekua – made with jaggery, ghee, and wheat flour, a symbol of simplicity, devotion, and sweetness that perfectly captures the essence of Chhath Puja.”

Watch your favourite shows every Monday to Friday, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai at 10:30 PM, and Gharwali Pedwali soon only on &TV.

There have been quite a few movies based on visually impaired lead characters. Black, Scent of a Woman, Andhadhun, The Miracle Worker, and Kaabil are a few notable examples. Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan follows a similar premise, where the lead character is blind and falls for a beautiful girl. The film has an interesting plot, but the clichéd screenplay and direction make it feel like it’s walking a blind path.

Saba (#ShanayaKapoor) travels by train from Delhi to Dehradun en route to Mussoorie. She is blindfolded as part of her preparation for an audition, she’s a theatre artist aiming to play a blind character using method acting. Her manager deserts her and flies to Germany to meet her boyfriend. Saba’s co-passenger on the train is Jahaan (#VikrantMassey), a blind musician something she is unaware of, and he chooses not to reveal. Circumstances force them to stay at the same place, and one thing leads to another and they fall in love and become intimate. But out of fear of rejection, Jahaan disappears, leaving Saba heartbroken. The story then shifts to Azerbaijan, where, by coincidence, they meet again. What transpires next forms the crux of the story.

Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is adapted from Ruskin Bond’s short story ‘The Eyes Have It’. The film feels like an old-school romance, with a script that leans heavily on coincidences. The dialogues sparkle at times, and the overall tone oscillates between love and pain. The movie is visually stunning, and the music is extremely soothing.

Vikrant Massey once again proves how brilliant an actor he is. He is completely convincing as a blind man, portraying a wide range of emotions with utmost ease. This is Shanaya Kapoor’s debut film, and she doesn’t disappoint. Her screen presence, dancing skills, and dialogue delivery are impressive, with her emotional scenes particularly standing out. Others, including #ZainKhanDurrani and #SaanandVerma, lend solid support.

Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan once again proves that love is truly blind.

Actor Saanand Verma, known for his versatility, is all set to appear in the #VikrantMassey-starrer #AankhonKiGustaakhiyan, which releases on July 11. After films like Mardaani, Pataakha, India Lockdown, Thank God, and Babli Bouncer, this marks another exciting addition to his filmography.

Speaking about his character and preparation for the role, Saanand says, “My character is named Shauki Lal — the name itself is quite quirky and fun. He’s a cheerful, light-hearted driver who just can’t stop talking. He reminds you of Hema Malini’s iconic Basanti from Sholay — drives around and talks nonstop. His mouth is literally never shut! He brings humour, rhythm, and energy to the story and is one of the high points of the film.”

“I initially thought of him as someone who constantly chews gutkha, so I prepared with that idea in mind. But once I was on set, director Santosh Singh suggested I try delivering lines without it. That clicked better, and we dropped the gutkha angle. Since this is a very natural character, I didn’t need heavy preparation. I’ve observed a lot of real-life drivers — especially those who talk a lot — and used that as a base.”

He adds, “I’ve been playing fast-talking characters like Saxena Ji (Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai) for over 11 years, so quick delivery comes naturally. Plus, I’m always observing people. I’ve seen dozens of drivers in my life — talkative, expressive, animated. And of course, I’ve seen Sholay 15 times — Basanti was always a reference point! Even the driving sequences were shot in the hills of Uttarakhand, with dangerous turns, but I’ve been driving for 22 years, so that part was fun and easy.”

Throwing more light on his association with the cast, crew, and director Santosh Singh, Saanand says, “Director #SantoshSingh is someone I’ve worked with before in Apharan 2, and he’s not just a great director — he’s a wonderful human being. We call him Sandy. Initially, he didn’t consider me for this role, thinking it was too small. I had to call him and say, ‘There’s no such thing as a small role.’ Thankfully, he agreed — and the character turned out to be quite impactful.”

“The rest of the cast was phenomenal. Vikrant Massey is a brilliant actor — deeply professional and very focused. Working with him was a joy. Shanaya Kapoor, in her debut, was a revelation. In one emotional scene, she cried even after the cut was called — that’s how immersed she was. She’s humble, dedicated, and has no star-kid attitude. Her upbringing clearly reflects in her work ethic. She’s going to do really well.”

“We shot in Mussoorie, and the vibe was incredible. Everyone — from the production team to the crew — was professional, warm, and committed. It was a fun, collaborative environment.”

Saanand, who has been balancing well between television, OTT, and films, shares his preference as an actor. He says, “Nothing matches the magic of cinema. Watching yourself on the big screen — that thrill, that high — is different. The shelf life of a film is long. We still talk about actors and performances from decades ago. That’s the power of cinema. OTT and television are valid mediums, and I give 100% to each. But when it comes to the audience experience, the big screen is unmatched. You can have a 70-inch screen at home, but it won’t replicate the magic of a theatre.”

“Even in films, sometimes you get scripts months in advance, which helps with deep prep. Other times, it’s all last-minute — like my Sacred Games pool scene or my parts in Pataakha and Chhichhore — those were improvised on the spot, and they hit home. That’s where being a flexible actor matters. I never rely only on rote learning — I absorb the environment, the co-actors, and the mood of the scene and let my instincts lead.”

“For me, the real reward is the audience’s appreciation. That’s bigger than money. And in cinema, that appreciation lasts the longest. That’s why film will always be my first priority.”

&TV’s #BhabijiGharParHai is not only one of the longest-running shows on Indian television, but it has also earned cult status, adored by audiences. While the show’s hilarious tracks continue to entertain, it’s the quirky characters and their memorable catchphrases that have truly captured viewers’ hearts. One such character is Anokhe Lal Saxena, played by talented actor Saanand Verma. His trademark line, “I like it,” has taken social media by storm, inspiring countless memes and video edits. Speaking about the popularity of his dialogue, Saanand Verma aka Anokhe Lal Saxena shared, “It honestly feels amazing when people appreciate my character, especially the dialogue. The kind of love and reactions I receive are overwhelming, and I truly enjoy them. It reflects the audience’s deep affection for the show.”

Recalling the first time he realised the cultural impact of the catchphrase, Saanand* said, “I remember one time while I was in Mumbai, I happened to meet a neighbour who is a police officer by profession. During a casual conversation, he narrated an incident that completely caught him off guard. He was scolding his son quite seriously when the boy calmly responded with, ‘I like it.’ My neighbour was baffled and asked his son why he would say that. That’s when his wife explained that it’s a popular dialogue from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, used by the character I play — Saxena! After that, he started watching the show himself. Today, it’s his favourite show, and I think he has become one of his favourite characters too.” Saanand added, “Fan interactions, whether in everyday life or any gatherings, always leave me touched. Even at Bollywood parties and social events, people come up to me quoting the dialogue and appreciating the role. It’s a surreal feeling to be recognised not just as an actor, but as a character that people have truly embraced. The love I get from my audience… I like it.”

The 78th Cannes Film Festival started on May 13, bringing its usual sparkle to the French Riviera. For actors, walking the Cannes red carpet is still a dream come true. For movie lovers, it’s a treat to see great films from around the world. But some people feel that the focus has shifted. Is Cannes still about cinema? Or is it turning into a fashion show for influencers? We asked some actors what they think and their views were both fun and thoughtful.

#RomiitRaaj: Not at all… I feel Cannes is getting Bigger & moving with times… it’s got best of films getting screened & old films which are restored also getting a huge audience and love. From India we saw Karan Johar,Aishwarya Rai & even Senior actor Sharmila Tagore at Cannes & I feel it’s amazing

#RozlynKhan: Cannes Film Festival this year looked less like a film event and more like the Kumbh Mela of influencers. The only thing missing was someone shouting, ‘Jai Instagram Baba ki Jai!’They had a dress code with no gowns with trails. And what did our desi celebs do? Wore trails so long, even Indian Railways felt insecure.Urvashi Rautela walked in with a parrot. A parrot. Bro, Cannes looked like Natraj Market meets Fantasy and.Half the people representing India? Never seen them in Indian media, Indian news, or even Indian weddings. At this point, I was only expecting the Kaccha Badam guy and the Kis Colour Ki Chaddi Pehni Hai guy to show up and say, ‘Namaste Cannes, hum bhi content creator hain!’The real fear? Cannes might just ban Indians next year. ‘No influencers, no parrots, and definitely no chaddis!’

#NeelSamarthh: Cannes is still magical, no doubt. Walking that red carpet is a dream for every actor, including me. But yes, over the years, it feels like the spotlight has shifted. Earlier, it was all about cinema, stories, and strong performances. Now, sometimes it looks more like a fashion runway for influencers. That’s not a bad thing style is a part of showbiz but I do hope the heart of Cannes, which is cinema, stays alive and strong. Let’s not forget the real heroes of the festival, the films and the artists behind them.

#WorshipKhanna: I always try to look at the positive side of things. I believe times are changing, society is evolving, people are growing, and we too must adapt with time.If influencers or YouTubers are getting opportunities to walk the red carpet at Cannes, I see it as a sign that more doors are opening not just for them, but for all of us.Just because I’m an actor and haven’t walked there yet, doesn’t mean I should feel bad. Maybe I can also try influencing, or find another way to reach that stage. Everyone has their own journey, and every success comes with hard work. If they’ve reached Cannes, there must be a reason behind it.I respect their struggle. It’s not easy to achieve anything without effort. If they’ve been invited, they must have earned it in some way. So I don’t look down on anyone’s success.Instead of feeling negative, I feel motivated. If they can do it, I can too with more focus and effort. Everyone’s work is important. What may seem big for them is big for them; what’s big for me is big for me. Let’s respect all kinds of efforts.

#SaanandVerma: Cannes hasn’t lost anything. Its cinematic soul is very much still there. It’s just that it has modernized, and we have to move with the flow. These days, even a small event at a tea stall gets hyped on social media and heavily used by influencers so this is Cannes, a huge platform. Of course influencers are going to be involved.Yes, there’s the red carpet, there’s glam, there’s all of that but at the same time, its core essence has never faded. People still watch and enjoy the films.

On the occasion of #InternationalTeaDay, actor Saanand Verma, widely loved for his eccentric and endearing roles, shared his heartfelt bond with tea—an emotion deeply woven into his personal and cultural identity.

“I feel like I was born just to drink tea!” he says with a smile, reflecting on his childhood mornings that began with chai and biscuits or roti. “My mother made an amazing potato curry. We’d spread it on roti and dip it into our tea. Even now, I need something to snack on with my tea—it’s not just a drink, it’s an experience.”

Saanand, however, now chooses a more health-conscious route. “I’ve had my fair share of milk and sugar chai,” he admits. “But as an actor, my body is my shop. To keep it fit, I mostly drink herbal tea or black coffee these days—without sugar.”

For him, tea is more than a beverage—it’s a symbol of India’s soul. “Tea is in our DNA,” Saanand explains. “Let’s not forget, a tea seller became the Prime Minister of our country. Every gathering, every conversation here starts with chai. It’s so deeply ingrained in us—it feels like we were born in a tea kettle!”

When asked whom he’d love to share a cup with, the answer comes easily. “Charlie Chaplin,” Saanand says. “He’s my idol. I don’t think a greater artist has ever lived. Having tea with him would be a dream come true.”

He fondly recalls a childhood memory of sneaking sips from his sister’s cup when his own ran out. “It’s a silly but sweet memory,” Saanand laughs. “Those moments made tea even more special.”

Whether it’s sipping tea during the chilly winters of Uttarakhand or London, or simply enjoying a couple of cups each day, Saanand says tea gives him peace, joy, and a lifted spirit.

This International Tea Day, his story is a reminder that for many in India—tea is not just a drink, it’s an emotion.

Actor Saanand Verma, who has become a household name for his eccentric and hilarious portrayal of #AnokhelalSaxena in #BhabhiJiGharParHain, believes that staying grounded is the secret to a balanced life in the entertainment industry. “Fame has never guided me,” he says with quiet conviction. “I consciously try to remain grounded. I don’t let success make me arrogant — I stay normal and simple, and because of that, I’ve never faced any problems.”

Despite his success, Saanand’s heart still burns with ambition. He dreams of working with legendary filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani and playing a “dangerous villain — a dark, twisted, slightly psychotic character” opposite a major superstar like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, or Allu Arjun. “That’s my dream role,” he says. “To be the main villain in a big film.”

Reflecting on his creative journey, Saanand compares himself to artists like Amitabh Bachchan. “Creativity has no final destination. A truly creative person never retires,” he notes. “I don’t think I’ll ever retire either.”

Saanand’s story is one of persistence and gratitude. Coming from humble beginnings and enduring long periods without work — including a 3 month dry spell before Bhabhi Ji — he now looks back at those times with a sense of fulfillment. “For the past 10 years, I haven’t had a single day without work. That’s God’s grace, my mother’s blessings, and the prayers of my fans.”

However, he candidly admits that the one area where he lags is industry networking. “I don’t go to parties, I don’t socialize much. I’m a private person. Because of this, I feel I haven’t gotten the kind of high-level work I truly deserve,” he shares.

Despite this, Saanand remains focused on the positive. “I feel complete as an actor. I’ve lived my true calling,” he says.

And perhaps that’s what makes Saanand Verma unique — an artist fuelled not by fame, but by passion, humility, and the pure joy of performance.

A Mother is often the first teacher in our lives. The lessons she teaches through words, actions, and even silence stay with us forever. These artists share one beautiful life lesson they’ve learned from their mothers that continues to shape who they are today.

#HarleenKaurRekhi : My mom has always emphasized the importance of staying grounded, no matter where life takes me. She taught me that humility is the foundation of true strength—being humble and polite, not just with those who are older, but with everyone I meet. She instilled in me the value of generosity, always reminding me to share what I have, whether it’s time, kindness, or resources, and to never lose sight of where I come from. At the heart of everything, she taught me that the measure of a person isn’t in their achievements or status, but in how they treat others and the kind of human being they are.

#MoonBanerrjee: My mom taught me to be strong in your mind and never give up, no matter what life throws at you. Stay brave, face challenges with courage, and keep going even when things get hard. But at the same time, never lose the child inside you the part that dreams big, laughs freely, loves without fear, and finds joy in the little things. That child keeps your heart soft and your spirit alive.

#RinheeSuberwal: One life lesson my mother taught me that will always stay with me is: “Never be dependent on anyone, not emotionally, not financially, not mentally.” This has shaped my personality and helped me become the independent woman I am today. She’s taught me that being self-reliant is the biggest strength anyone can have, and that strength begins with self-belief.

#WorshipKhanna: One life lesson I’ve learned from her is to never give up. My mother suffered a lot. She was a housewife, and then my father passed away. After his death, she tried to start a business. At the age of 50, she began learning Reiki healing through online courses. At that time, I never imagined she’d do something like that. But she not only completed Reiki Levels 1, 2, and 3 she became a Reiki Master. She says she wants to keep herself busy by helping people and sending out positive energy. It makes me feel so proud. After losing her husband and also her young son, she still stood strong like a pillar for us. She remains confident, grounded, and full of strength

#LuvIsrani: Her name is Anita Israni, and she has been a working woman all her life. She is the reason I started photography, and she has always been my biggest cheerleader. Today, she enjoys a retired life and goes to kitty parties—something she couldn’t do earlier because of her work commitments. She has always been a very social person, deeply connected to people, and she values relationships above all else. I’ve inherited that quality from her. Whether it’s a social gathering or a function in our extended family, she is always there for everyone. She learned that from her father. People often tell me that I look like her and that I share many of her habits. The kind of person I am today is largely because of her.

#SaanandVerma: There is truly nothing in this world that compares to the love, strength, and divinity of a mother. In my eyes, a mother is no less than a goddess. There’s a beautiful saying in Hindi that goes, “Har jagah bhagwaan nahi ja sakte, isliye bhagwaan ne maa banai,” which means “God couldn’t be everywhere, so he made mothers.” And I wholeheartedly believe in that. For me, my mother is not just the person who gave me life she is my God, my guiding light, my source of strength, and the one person whose presence makes everything feel complete. I truly believe that those who have their mothers by their side are among the luckiest people on earth. A mother’s presence is a blessing, a protection, and a form of unconditional love that cannot be replaced. I cherish every moment with my mom, and I strive every day to make her proud.

#AadeshChaudhary: My Mom is the sunshine that brightens up my day and the calm in every storm. Her unwavering support, love, and guidance mean the world to me. I am who I am because of her. She’s been my strength in moments of doubt and my celebration in moments of success. Her quiet prayers and loud cheers have carried me through life. She’s always led by example—teaching me the importance of kindness, empathy, and gratitude. She reminds me to stay grounded and to use my voice for good. Her selflessness and generosity inspire me every single day.

As Mahashivratri approaches, several actors from the entertainment industry open up about their deep spiritual connection with the festival. From fasting and meditation to temple visits and self-reflection, they share how this sacred night influences their personal lives and careers.

#SherleenDutt : For me, Mahashivratri is deeply spiritual. It’s a time for reflection, devotion, and connecting with Lord Shiva’s energy. I celebrate it by fasting, meditating, and chanting Shiva mantras. I also visit a temple if possible, or create a peaceful space at home to perform prayers. It’s more about inner stillness than external celebration. Mahashivratri holds immense significance in my life. Personally, it strengthens my spiritual connection and brings me a sense of clarity and peace. Professionally, I believe the discipline and devotion practiced during this time help me align my thoughts and energy, which ultimately reflects in my work. Observing this night of Shiva reminds me to surrender, trust the process, and keep moving forward fearlessly. Yes, I do observe fasting. I usually follow a fruit and liquid-based fast, which keeps me energized while shooting. If my schedule is very hectic, I ensure I have coconut water, fruits, and dry fruits at intervals to sustain my energy levels. Also, chanting or simply focusing on Lord Shiva helps me stay mentally strong during the fast.

#RaviraaBhardwaj : Mahashivratri is a deeply spiritual occasion for me. It is a time for reflection, meditation, and devotion to Lord Shiva. I have even celebrated Mahashivratri once at the Pashupatinath Temple, which was a surreal experience filled with divine energy. Personally, it strengthens my spiritual connection and brings inner peace. Professionally, I believe that devotion and positivity help me stay focused and navigate challenges with clarity and strength.Yes, I do observe fasting. Despite my busy shooting schedule, I manage it by planning my day well, staying hydrated, and consuming light, energy-sustaining foods like fruits and nuts. My spiritual inclination helps me stay dedicated to the fast.

#HritikYadav : It’s a day of connecting with Mahadev through meditation, prayers, and reflection. I start the day by visiting the temple and offering water and bilva leaves to the Shivling. The energy of this day is so powerful. I feel closer to Lord Shiva and more aware of my inner self. Personally, it’s a reminder of Mahadev’s strength, calmness, and wisdom, qualities I try to follow in my life. Professionally, I believe Lord Shiva’s guidance keeps me grounded and focused. This day inspires me to stay patient and dedicated to my craft, no matter how tough things get. His presence gives me the strength to handle challenges with grace. I fast on Mahashivratri and also keep fasts on Mondays. Even with hectic shooting schedules, I make sure to observe the fast. I take light fruits, water, and some coconut water to keep myself going. Meditation and chanting “Om Namah Shivaya” give me a different kind of energy, one that keeps me balanced throughout the day. It can be challenging, but I prepare myself mentally before the fast and stay hydrated. I take breaks for short meditations, which keeps my mind relaxed and my energy steady.

#SaanandVerma : Maha Shivratri is very important to me because I am a devotee of Lord Shiva. I believe that Shiva is the ultimate truth, Shiva is beauty, and everything—including all of us and the entire universe—exists because of Him. If it weren’t for Lord Shiva, the poison that emerged from the ocean would have destroyed everything. Lord Shiva contained it in His throat, and there is no power greater than Shiva. Fasting doesn’t cause me any problems; in fact, I’ve observed that my energy levels don’t drop significantly during a fast. I feel great, stay happy, and focus my energy on my creativity. So, there’s no stress for me. Shivratri is a monumental occasion for me. I’m someone who keeps chanting ‘Har Har Mahadev’ again and again. Everything I am, whatever I have, and whatever I’ve achieved is all because of Mahadev. It’s all His doing. So, I say with all my heart: Har Har Mahadev.

#SnehaJain : Years ago, I used to keep a fast on Mahashivratri—it was the only fast I observed in a year. But due to my work schedule and the fact that I’m already underweight, my body doesn’t support fasting anymore. Mahashivratri is one of the most important and cherished celebrations for me. It’s not just a festival; it’s an experience that brings me peace and happiness. I usually visit a temple at night, where my family’s Panditji performs the Shivling puja and follows all the traditions. It’s something I have been doing for years, and it always fills me with a sense of devotion and gratitude. Even though I don’t fast now, I still make sure to visit the temple, perform puja, and seek Lord Shiva’s blessings. That’s my way of connecting with the divine. It’s a simple yet magical experience that brings me a lot of peace.

#ShivangiVerma : For me, Mahashivratri is a very special and spiritual day. It’s a time when I feel deeply connected to Lord Shiva. While some people see it as a big celebration, I take it as a day for self-reflection and inner peace. I believe Mahashivratri is not just about rituals but about understanding Shiva’s energy and wisdom. On a personal level, this festival brings a sense of calm and positivity into my life. It reminds me to stay strong, just like Shiva, and to find peace even in chaos. Professionally, it helps me stay focused and grounded. Acting can be stressful, and I feel that praying and meditating on Mahashivratri gives me inner strength to handle everything better. Yes, I do observe fasting on Mahashivratri. It’s not that difficult and I have been doing it for years, so I have found ways to manage. I usually drink a lot of water and have fruits or dry fruits to keep my energy up. The best part is that fasting makes me feel light and spiritually strong. It’s like a detox for both the body and the mind.

#AnupamaSolanki : Mahashivratri is one of the biggest celebration days for me because I am a devoted follower of Lord Shiva. Recently, I visited the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga in Ujjain and the Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga. Lord Shiva always protects me and helps me overcome negative energies, but I have never expected anything from Mahadeva. I only seek His blessings and wish for Him to always bless me. I have been fasting for the last 10 years, so I don’t feel any pressure during Mahashivratri fasting. I have good control over my hunger, so I am not too worried about the fast. Yes, it is challenging to stay hungry the whole day, but I eat fruits during my fast, which helps me manage it. I believe everyone should try fasting because it improves gut health. If your gut is healthy, your mind will be more energetic, and you will enjoy better overall health. “Your gut is your second brain,” so fasting makes you stronger both mentally and morally.

#IndraxiKanjilal : Since childhood I have been fasting for Shivratri. Right now when I am fasting during long hours of shooting, it can be strenuous. But I try to be composed during the day. I finish my shooting and go home to be with my mother and we together perform the puja. After the puja I feel calm and collective at the end of the day. I feel Mahadev teaches you to control the negative thoughts in your mind. Shiva is everything male and female, light and dark, flesh and spirit. One thing that you can learn from Mahadev is to help the ones in need.

#ChitraVakilSharma : Mahashivratri isn’t just another festival for me—it’s a night of deep connection, surrender, and stillness. It’s when the energy around feels different, more alive, more powerful. The world slows down, but within, something awakens. It’s not just about rituals; it’s about experiencing Shiva—not as a deity sitting far away, but as a presence within. It’s about letting go, quieting the mind, and allowing yourself to dissolve into that stillness. Personally, Mahashivratri is the most important night of the year for me. Being a Shiva bhakt, this night is deeply personal—it’s not about celebration, it’s about surrender. It’s my moment with Him, my chance to step away from everything else and just be. My devotion has taken me to almost all the Jyotirlingas, except one, and to most Shiva temples across the country. Each visit has been an experience, a reminder that Shiva is everywhere, yet within. Not at all. In fact, I feel more energized. The only difference is that I go deeper into my rituals, my silence, my connection. Every Monday, I fast for Shiva, but Mahashivratri is different—it’s bigger, stronger, more intense. It’s the night where nothing else matters. I call myself a Shiva bhakt, and in my heart, I just hope He has accepted me as one.
