As Saiyaara completes one year, the film continues to hold a special place in the hearts of audiences who embraced its story and made it their own. Over the past year, fans have continued to revisit the film, celebrate its most memorable moments and return to its music, which has gone on to become a phenomenon in its own right. Long before the film’s release, the soundtrack had penetrated the hearts of people, dominating music charts, broke streaming records in India and globally.

To commemorate the film’s first anniversary, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda have unveiled a special 2 disc collector’s edition Saiyaara LP, celebrating the music that continues to resonate with audiences. Designed as a keepsake for fans and music lovers, the limited-edition vinyl also features exclusive handwritten diary notes from Ahaan and Aneet, which are a personal reflection on their Saiyaara journey.

Ahaan Panday writes in the collectible LP, “If you’re one of the few people reading this, you’re probably somebody who cares deeply about our film, and for that, thank you. Thank you for giving love a chance. Thank you for believing in our story. We never knew Saiyaara would reach so many people, but it’s safe to say we’ve left our hearts with quite a few of you. I hope you keep this vinyl as a reminder that love will always be the strongest force to exist, that it has the power to surpass all things.”

Director of the blockbuster film Saiyaara, Mohit Suri said, “This is really special. I’ve been around for 20 years, and this is my first award. I still remember when I was a kid and went to watch Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge in the theatre. That was the first time, the germ, the bug, hit me. I knew I wanted to be a filmmaker. Today, she again broke the internet as she dropped a very sweet and heartwarming post of her visit to an animal shelter on the outskirts of Mumbai. Aneet spent an entire day spending time with strays and rescued animals and encouraged everyone to help them in their own way.

Aneet visited Kanchan’s Global Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and caring for animals in need in Mumbai and was seen playing with and feeding the strays staying at the shelter.

Mohit Suri says, “I remember when we had screenings on the day of release and Ahaan’s family was seeing it and my family had seen it that day and I remember the opening day box office numbers started coming in. The amount of love coming our way, I knew this was rare. Trust me, I’ve celebrated more for a villain Rs 16 and a half Cr than a Rs 23 Cr of Saiyaara. Because, this love was humbling. I remember telling my wife this for the whole week after that, or month I think, that every evening don’t disturb me, everyone’s calling because they watched the film from all over the world.”

He further reveals, “This is all filmmakers, I mean, competitors, people who didn’t believe in me, other producers. Surprisingly they all felt it’s their win and I’ve never seen love like this for a film in the 20 years that I’ve been making films. I’ve been the underdog praised, I’ve been the top dog pulled down. I’ve got everything, yeah it’s expected. I think it became everyone’s liberated move to love this film. Because I think quintessentially nothing was planned by design while making or promoting this film. We just went with total honestly and purity while making and while promoting we stuck to basics and took the film to the audience. And that worked.”

While chatting with him, I casually said I’d done a lot of anchoring and now wanted to do something more—maybe perform singing and dancing. Since I was about to host his Da-Bangg Tour, he encouraged me to not just host but also perform and sing myself. That’s where it all started, and since then, music has stayed with me.”

He also revealed that his love for singing goes way back: “I was always fond of singing as a kid. I sang a lot during school and college. In fact, I even wooed my wife with my singing—back then, when she was my girlfriend, I would sing for her all the time.”
