Prime Video today announced the exclusive global streaming premiere of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, a contemporary romantic comedy that blends modern dating dilemmas with the enduring charm of old-school romance. Directed by Sameer Vidwans and produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Bhumika Tewari, Shareen Mantri Kedia, and Kishor Arora, under the banner of Dharma Productions & Namah Pictures, the film brings together Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, along with a seasoned supporting cast, including Neena Gupta and Jackie Shroff, in a story that explores love, belief, and the unexpected ways two worlds collide. Set against the scenic backdrop of Croatia, the film follows Rehaan “Ray” Mehra, a cynical Los Angeles-based wedding planner who has long stopped believing in grand romantic gestures. But his worldview is challenged when he meets Rumi Vardhan, an aspiring novelist who finds comfort in the idea of timeless Bollywood love stories. What begins as a clash of perspectives during a yacht cruise slowly sparks friction, banter, and unexpected chemistry. The State Awards, held on February 22 in Mumbai, honored films released between 2019-2022. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the awards were delayed by four years, resulting in a plethora of nominations across various categories within this timeframe.

‘Anandi Gopal’ had previously won the National Award for Best Film (Social Awareness) and has been the recipient of multiple awards since its release. The film continued its winning streak at the State Awards, securing wins in various categories, including Best Film (Social Awareness), Best Director (Social Awareness), Best Dialogue, and Best Production Design.

Commenting on this latest achievement, producer Shareen Mantri Kedia said, “It’s an honor to receive the prestigious Maharashtra State Award for a film that is very close to our hearts. ‘Anandi Gopal’ is an extremely special film that has managed to impact thousands of people across the country, generating social awareness regarding women and women empowerment. We at Namah Pictures are delighted for this recognition from the state as well as the entire nation. Here’s hoping to create more such magic with all our upcoming projects.”

Talking about the prestigious win, director Sameer Vidwans said, “Anandi Gopal is a story that we as a team knew we wanted to showcase. Interestingly, this winning trio of Shareen, Kishor, and Sameer also delivered one of the most commercially successful films of 2023, ‘Satyaprem ki Katha,’ starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani.

The Filmfare Award winning director Sameer Vidwans has proved his mettle in the industry ever since his directorial debut Time Please in 2013. His films Dhurala, Anandi Gopal, YZ, Double Seat, Mala Kahich Problem Nahi, have won many accolades in Indian and international film festivals. Although love stories have been Sameer’s field of play, horror has been a genre that he never dabbled into. The story is penned down by the Dil Dimag Aur Batti fame Rushikesh Gupte. This Sahitya Parishad Award winner has written many novels like Danshkaal, Daityalay, Ghangarda, Andharvari, and Kaljugari. Hakamari has been by far his most appreciated and film-adaptation-worthy work by Rushikesh. 

Filmfare award winner actress Sonalee Kulkarni aka the Hirkani of the Marathi film industry has consistently amazed her fan following with her work. Staying true to her art, this actress and dancer has been attaining new heights with every film from Ajintha to Classmates, and from Mitwaa to Hampi. This Poshter Girl has proved her talent in Bollywood with big banner films like Singham and Grand Masti alongside seasoned actors.
