Manushi says, “I have been into doodling for some time now and it’s something that I do to explore my creative side whenever I get a chance. I travel with a cute blackboard and chalks to the sets and in the breaks, I like to doodle. From the time my director met me, he told me that remember ‘you are princess Sanyogita – you should roar like a lioness!’ and this stayed with me and I have tried to channelise my director’s vision on the sets. It is a very powerful line. It shows the resolve, the spirit and courage of Princess Sanyogita and it made me understand how I have to depict her and her life on screen.”

Manushi’s Bollywood debut is being directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi who directed the biggest television epic Chanakya – based on the life and times of the most influential political strategist of India and the multiple award-winning Pinjar. Prithviraj will release worldwide in Diwali 2020.

Manushi has just wrapped shooting the first song of her Bollywood career and she is ecstatic about the experience of constantly learning on the set. Not many know, Manushi is a trained Kuchipudi dancer and has trained under legendary dancing couple Raja and Radha Reddy and Kaushalya Reddy. Their names are synonymous with Kuchipudi dance and Raja and Radha are regarded solely responsible for bringing it on the cultural map of the world. Both were felicitated by the Government of India with Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awards!

Manushi reveals that it is her early training in classical dancing that has helped her to confidently perform the song in Prithviraj. “My training in classical dancing when I was a child has definitely helped me for Prithviraj. I’m thankful to my parents for pushing me to take up dancing then because today, when I have to perform these big songs, it wasn’t extremely exasperating and frustrating for me,” says Manushi.

She adds the scale at which the song was shot was definitely overwhelming for the gorgeous girl but her foundation in dancing was strong enough to withstand that pressure. She says, “I was definitely overwhelmed seeing the scale and the dance steps that I had to perform but during my rehearsals I started feeling confident. The old learning’s all came back to me and I was sure that I could pull through. These dance sequences have taken the life out of me but I think I have managed to deliver. I was happy to that my director and choreographer were happy with my performance. That matters to me the most. I hope audiences appreciate my hard work and bless me because I have given it my best, given it my all.”

Manushi also thanks her gurus for pushing her and building her foundation in dancing. The goegrous beauty adds, “I wouldn’t have been able to perform if I didn’t have the learnings that my gurus gave me. All their hard work to better me as a dancer in my childhood, is actually the reason why I enjoyed doing the song in Prithviraj. So, all the credit goes to them for shaping me and moulding me constantly. I can’t thank them enough and I feel fortunate that I had the opportunity to learn from them.”

The actress who has started shooting, just wrapped filming the first ever song sequence of her career. She sounded ecstatic as she spoke to us exclusively about her experience. “I loved the experience of shooting my first ever song and it will be forever memorable. It was a huge learning experience for me to go through the drill of preparing, rehearsing and shooting my first song,” says the beautiful actress.

Manushi accepts that she was definitely overwhelmed when started shooting the big budget song that will be a visual spectacle. “I was definitely overwhelmed since it was the first time I was doing this and it’s a big song but as a person I do like to keep my eye on the prize and I think the shoot went off well. I hope the effort that I have put in for the song will be appreciated by audiences,” she says.

The young beauty says she felt ‘happy’ after the song shoot. “It was a grueling, intense shooting schedule and after shooting this song I felt really happy. I never thought I would become an actor so I’m really enjoying the process of exploring all the aspects of being an Indian film heroine and learning so much in the process,” says Manushi.
