Directed by the duo #SarangManoj and #AbhijeetZhadgavkar, Satyabhama presents the story of a brother who dares to raise his voice against the oppressive patriarchal system and the injustice suffered by women. The recently released teaser hints at this powerful narrative.

The teaser opens with a scenic landscape, where nature is beautifully adorned in green sarees and morning mist. A romantic moment is shown where the hero gently holds the heroine’s hand. A sacred temple of Lord Shiva and a touching Raksha Bandhan scene between a sister and her younger brother are also glimpsed. All these moments are intricately linked to the inhuman practice of Sati from that era. The lines, “How can a helpless woman fight against society alone?” and “I have found the purpose of my life—I will fight against the Sati tradition,” encapsulate the film’s core message.

The film also highlights the unbreakable, selfless bond between siblings. Notably, since Raksha Bandhan falls on August 9, the film’s release a day before is intended as an artistic and emotional gift for brothers and sisters across the world. However, Satyabhama is not just a tale of sibling love—it also casts light on many pressing social issues and promises to open the viewers’ eyes to a hidden, painful truth from history.

The story, screenplay, and dialogues of Satyabhama are written by Manisha Pekhale. The cast includes Madhav Abhyankar, Abhijeet Aamkar, Bhavika Nikam, Srushti Malvande, Jyoti Patil, Sarang Manoj, Dnyaneshwar Shinde, Mukund Kulkarni, Deepali and Yogesh Kanthale, among others. Child actors like Rishika Suryavanshi, Arnav Shinde, Lokesh Devkar, and Arnav Telang will also appear.

Lyrics for the film’s songs are penned by Manisha Pekhale, with music composed by Nikhil Mahamuni. The cinematography is by Jitendra Ramchandra Acharekar, and editing by Nilesh Gavand. Sachin H. Patil has handled the art direction, and Narendra Pandit the choreography. Background score is composed by Honey Satamkar, while Sumit Ojha has done the VFX work. Makeup is by Nitin Dandekar and Sheetal Leena Lahu Pavaskar has done the costume designing and styling. Mohan Saini directed the action sequences. Akbar Shaikh is the production controller and Kundalik Kachale the casting coordinator.
