“Like in the Covid situation, we stayed at home and had some time to ourselves. But when things opened up we had to shoot, dub and prepare for our next role simultaneously, so we all had to manage our times accordingly. Today we are behind for almost 2 years, all thanks to Covid. So, we all need to hustle more than what we were doing before. The reasons why today everyone has got double busy, double focussed and people have less time to meet their friends and relatives. We have anyway been spending less time with family given our schedule and also because of social media addiction. But Covid did help us there,” he says.

Sundays or offs don’t feel like a holiday now. Thanks to communication tools like mobile phones and social media, we have forgotten where to put a stop. “Why just Sundays, we also shoot during Diwali days. One thing is nice that through social media we can video call and when we are shooting outdoors, we can easily stay in touch with our families and friends. One disadvantage is that we have become too attached to social media, and even when we come back home after work we still spend most of our time there,” he adds.

The actor says that social media is like junk food, where one must decide how much one wants to eat. “It’s like you have to decide how much parting needs to be done. It’s you who have to decide how much time you have to invest in social media. You can do that balance and management. Everything is manageable and you have to set the priorities right,” he says.

Sham sharing some time management tips. “We sometimes feel that the 24 hrs we have at hand are less because nowadays in cities like Mumbai, there is no day or night. There are a lot of times that I have gone for dubbing at around 12 in the night. If you go to other cities or smaller towns, people lead a much sorted lifestyle because they have a set time for everything. They will come home by 7 and sleep by 11 pm and wake up at 7 am the next day. All the discredit goes to Mumbai traffic and that’s why we have to suffer,” he adds.

According to him, too much information is very dangerous. “We don’t need too much information about everything. Whatever is there is okay. Let’s enjoy life as well. Too much knowledge is also dangerous,” he said. He believes that youngsters will bring about social changes, but everyone has their own political views.

According to him, advancement in technology has advantages. “Earlier we used to have a splicer and the reels of the film used to get cut through it. After getting cut, you had to use a tape. But now things are easy with editing machine. Now we have templates for letters, Zoom meetings and that’s why people are becoming lazy. Lazy brain is always dangerous,” he shared.

He wants people to learn to take the advantages and not disadvantages. “If you have good information then only share, don’t share rumours. Don’t get trapped in the followers’ race, see for your real friends. Social media has created a fake world. Use social media like salt because if it’s too much then things get spoiled,” he suggested.
