After Savi’s success, Divya Khossla expresses her enthusiasm for ‘Hero Heeroine’!

After the box office success of her recent film #Savi, #HeroHeeroine’s lead actress Divya Khossla shared her enthusiasm about #PrernaArora’s upcoming production venture. Expressing how she’s “extremely excited” for the project, it is revealed how she’ll portray a glamorous avatar in the same. The Suresh Krissna directorial, which is underway with extensive preparations in Hyderabad, will release in Telugu.

To prepare for her role, Khossla has been immersing herself in South Indian films to understand the culture and is taking Telugu lessons to perfect her dialect, which is “integral” to the film. “This collaboration is a wonderful move for films in our country. Prerna Arora has been instrumental right from roping in one of the biggest directors in the South film industry Suresh Krissna sir to bringing Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravani on board and putting this entire project together. We have a great ensemble cast in the film, which is a complete family drama,” says Divya Khossla.

Speaking about what her role in Hero Heeroine entails, Divya Khossla adds, “I’m extremely excited to pull off the role of an aspiring actor in the Telugu film industry. I’m also working on my dialect to ace the dialogues and their delivery. I’m also excited for all the new looks and avatars you’ll get to see me in soon. I hope the Telugu film industry is proud of us as this film is like a homage to them.” The actor’s recent film, Savi, is currently running successfully in theatres.

Review : Savi : Modern day Savitri saving her Satyavan!

A lot of foreign films get adapted in Hindi and the latest one is Savi, which is an official adaptation of a #Frenchfilm ‘#PourElle’. Savi’s story takes place in #Liverpool, #England but if the location could have been India, it would have looked more authentic. #AbhinayDeo is a fine director and he has managed to keep thing tense throughout the narration. It’s a story of a modern day Savitri saving her #Satyavan.

Savitri Sachdev (Divya Khossla) is a contended housewife staying in a sleepy town of Liverpool in England, with her husband Nakul (Harshwardhan Rane) and son Aditya (Mairaj Kakkar). Out of the blue Nakul gets arrested for murdering his boss. All the evidence is against him but Savi has full faith in her husband’s innocence. When Nakul is sentenced to life improisonment Savi decides to free her husband by planning a jail break with the help of Joydeep Paul (Anil Kapoor). How she goes about it forms the crux of the story.

Adaptation is done well but if the story was shown happening in India, it could have been more convincing. Abhinay Deo has kept the proceedings taut and has used Anil Kapoor’s character to lighten the tenseness on the screen. The treatment looks sleek and the second half is more gripping. Music helps the proceedings on screen and the technical things including cinematography are
top notch. Divya Khossla is the backbone of the proceedings and she has shown loads of improvement in acting. She has done a decent job and should be proud of herself to have successfully headlining a female centric film. Harshwardhan Rane too is decent but he has a very limited screen time. Anil Kapoor steals the show hands down with his witty and mutiferous character. His energy lifts the film a few notches higher.
