“Men and women have careers, but women are wired differently, biologically as well. So not only do they carry a child and it changes their body and their mindset, but they also are the primary caregivers of a baby. So, it does set them back a bit in their career, because looking after a baby is their full-time responsibility and there should be no resentment about it because that’s how we’re made biologically,” she says.

She adds, “A woman is definitely an equal part in a man’s success because if she looks after his house and his kid, it is exactly, or probably more than the work he’s putting in at his job that she’s putting in to give him a happy and calm and a peaceful environment at home. So definitely, it’s a 50:50 effort.”

Meanwhile, Sheeba adds that joint families make it easier for women to work. “With the extended families that we have, our joint family system allows a woman to go back to work way earlier than she did before. So, yes, a woman today has the full opportunity to have a career if she so chooses. The ideal way would be if both career partners have family at home who can take some responsibility of looking after the home and the kids. That way, both can have an equal career.”

“Last trip I took internationally, I travelled to Boston. That’s where my son studies and New York is now on my mind because that’s where he lives,” she continues, “I love taking small trips even if it’s for 2 days, I will travel in India. Recently I had the privilege of going to Tirupathi. So I like to take 2 or 3 days breaks also in and around India.”

Travelling is important. It opens your mind, it exposes you to different cultures, to different kinds of food, people, so many things open up for you. So Sheeba loves to travel.

There are a lot of people who meticulously plan their holidays, while many others don’t. And, Sheeba shares being a bit of both.

“Sometimes I go for this all girl vacation. We went to Greece, we have been to Bali, Budapest, Vienna, and we have been to quite a few destinations. We are going to Thailand as girls trip and we pretty much meticulously plan those, like where we will have coffee or where we will go for our meals and book our meals and then there are those impromptu overnight things where me and my husband, we picked our passports and reach the airports to go for holiday because we suddenly realise that we are free. So I like a bit of both. I have done that with my best friend and my husband. So I like the surprise element of the impromptu trip,” she says.

Have you ever travelled solo? “I have taken the longest flight ever alone all the way to Fiji. That was a work-related trip so I travelled alone but only in a plane. I’m not a solo traveller. I do not like to do anything solo. That is not in my bucket list. I always need people with me. I am a very people’s person and touch wood, I always find the right company for anything I wish to do. So for a religious trip, I have a group for that, if it’s a fun trip I have a bunch of people who are okay with that. So not going solo anywhere,” she ends.

#SudhanshuPandey : This time, I am very happy that they have turned things around really fast. Unfortunately, the vehicle crash-landed back then. I remember the excitement, but it didn’t happen, and I saw disappointment on the faces of ISRO’s heads. However, this time, I am very sure it’s going to be very successful, given all the planning and preparations that have been done. Obviously, all the steps planned after the launch will greatly help the scientists and the government to further develop our capabilities and make ourselves stronger outside the planet as well in the near future.

#RomiitRaaj : I am very excited, Last year I was awake to see Chandrayaan 2 launch as well. The Chandrayaan-3 mission will explore the far side of the Moon and will attempt to soft land on the lunar surface. ISRO has learned from the failure of the Chandrayaan-2 mission, which crash-landed on the Moon. As a proud Indian, I am praying and wishing for the successful launch of Chandrayaan 3.

#SheebaAkashdeep : I absolutely adore space missions and get super excited. My boys and husband are so into it too. I am so proud of India’s space research and successful missions. ISRO has put India in the world map of space missions.

#PawanChopra : As kids, we watched Star Trek and it got us hooked on the mysteries of space. And then, when Rakesh Sharma went into space. I remember going to the Russian Cultural Centre in Delhi to see the Soyuz in which he travelled. I keep myself updated with all space activities all over the world. It’s a vast world up there, and how intriguing! There are so many mysteries up there. It will be a huge step to put Chandrayan on moon territory. I wish all the success and I’m eagerly waiting for all the pictures and information it will send to our scientists. It will only open a new chapter in studying the outer universe. And if all goes well, it will be another history in the making and will only further advance our space program. Indian space scientists are the best. With limited resources, they are able to accomplish many successful missions. My best wishes!

#MadalsaSharma : I have been interested in space and related research. I’m looking forward to the Chandrayaan 3 launch. I watched the launch of Chandrayaan 2 with great excitement. However, the landing failed at the final stages. Vikram lander crash-landed on the moon’s surface. ISRO concluded that a software glitch was the cause of the failure. Now many changes for the better have been done in Chandrayaan 3. Waiting for 13th July with hope and pride.

“It’s very true that you constantly have the pressure to be seen. Avoiding this situation is not easy,” she says.

Social media is a place where celebs often share bits and pieces of their lives. But not everything about them is grabbing attention. One wonders what people want to know and the actor adds, “People are curious because if you are a celebrity they pretty much want to know about your diet, fitness, skin care, where you are going etc. The curiosity is endless and the bigger you are the more people want to know about you,” adds the actor, who would next be seen in the film Fateh, starring Sonu Sood.

The pressure includes not just taking up a project, but to be visible on social media, then there are competition, insecurities, even looks and what the audience reactions would be also give them sleepless nights.

“I have crossed the age of going through any kind of pressure, so no pressure now and it’s pure enjoyment. Work is more pleasurable for me,” she smiles.

However, many feel that actors who have no attention-grabbing intention, mind their own business, and may sometimes go unnoticed in spite of doing good work.

“I don’t necessarily feel that it is true. There are a lot of A-list actors like Aamir Khan or Ranbir Kapoor who have zero social media presence, yet anything that they do professionally creates a lot of interest and box office numbers.

One should be ambitious to be successful, but then the question is how much is too much. “One should be ambitious at the right time. So, for me now it’s more about enjoying a journey rather than reaching a certain destination,” she continues talking about her career, “I am not satisfied with how my career has shaped up. I want to do so much more and will continue in my quest of finding good parts. I will continue to struggle for the right roles.”
