Anjumm informs, “People around are already drawing parallels (of Tahir and his character) with the iconic jay-Veeru jodi which is a huge comparison but I am happy that as an actor I got an opportunity to create this unique bromance-friendship duo on screen. It is just a blessing and probably a divine intervention for me to have this opportunity especially because this show falls in the realm of being a two-hero subject with action drama, music, dance, dialogue baazi… everything which as a 10-year-old kid I got fascinated with.”

Talking about his fascination and love for movies, Anjumm reveals, “During my growing up years, I started developing immense fascination and love for movies. In those formative years, the kind of movies I saw were big multi-starrers and parallel lead films with action & drama and I had developed instant connection with such movies. Mostly, I used to watch movies featuring stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Anil Kapoor including Shakti, Parvarish, Mqaddar Ka Sikandar, Joshilay, Ram Lakhan, Andar Bahar, etc and fell in love with the image they created through their memorable on-screen characters. Their charisma, rugged look, impactful dialogues, costumes, hairstyle, attitude… I was enamoured by everything. Multi-starrer films used to promise big entertainment value.”

“I was also fascinated by the concept of parallel lead films and amongst the initial ones which had great impact on me was Ramesh Sippy’s Saagar. And that concept has mostly worked at the box office, be it Subhash Ghai’s Ram Lakhan and other films”, he adds.
Anjumm Shharma, whose cinematic journey started with the Oscar winning film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, has evolved into one of the industry’s most sought-after talents. Having worked extensively in theatre, the actor went on to play substantial role in ‘Wazir’ alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar. On Sony Tv’s ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati- Season 14’ Dipesh Jain from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh will be showcasing brilliant gameplay and winning 12 lac and 50 thousand. The thrilling game would be preceded by many amazing conversations, one of which would also entail Mr Amitabh Bachchan’s stories of how the iconic film ‘Sholay’ was filmed.

Mr Bachchan would be enthraling the audience by telling them stories from the sets of ‘Sholay’, how Ramesh Sippy, the director of the film had chosen a flower valley instead of a more desert-like location for a film that was “dacoit-inspired” by the concept. He would also talk about how Dharmendra Ji would often share a car and play Rumi going to and fro the hotel, with Dharmendra Ji also sometimes choosing to stay back at the village and sleep there when there was an early morning shoot call. Big B would also talk about getting foreign stunt directors for the first time to help with the stunts.

Concluding the tales of Sholay, a source close to the set said that Mr Bachchan spoke about why he limps still, “In the earlier days people did not know about these safety precautions and they, the actors, including Mr Bachchan would get injured almost every time they would be shooting. Their knees and their back would all be scraped up. He said that he still limps because of his injuries in past. They don’t get hurt now because of the new safety precautions as contractually, the producer makes sure that any dangerous stunts are not performed by the actors. He went on to say there still are many actors who do their stunts. Many times, they are told not to but they do not listen. He gave the example of Akshay Kumar and how he is a passionate actor, he will jump from one building to the other or light himself on fire, and Big B would ask him, “what are you doing? and why? but Akshay Ji would say “no no sir, don’t worry”. He did his stunts during ‘Waqt’, which he filmed with Amitabh sir.”

You joked about things related to actual life. Humor isn’t that which we shout from rooftops, is over the top or makes you laugh forcibly. You had a casual and natural way of performing which was relatable to us. That would charm the viewers, and this is your USP.” Surendra Ji would complement him by only saying, “You are a black diamond!”

Talking about his experience on the show Haseeb Khan said, “I loved being on the show and making the judges laugh. Comedy is something that I cherish as a talent and I have been graced by god that I am able to perform in front of so many people and make them laugh. While recollecting some beautiful moments while shooting the film, host Amitabh Bachchan will be seen talking about the legendary actor Dharmendra and his quirk and free-spirited style. He shares, “Dharam ji and I used to travel (to and fro to Ramanagara) in one car. A very strange incident happened once, when Dharam ji and I left, our car had to go from one of the most crowded roads in Bangalore. The car broke down. And there were about 3,000 to 4,000 people who came to see Dharam ji and surrounded us. I asked him what do we do now? He said not to worry and we left from there and there was an auto that was passing us. Both of us got inside and travelled in an auto till Ramanagara. We enjoyed a lot!”

Sharing a similar experience, Hema Malini adds, “Something like this happened with me in Jaipur. There was a train crossing, middle crossing. So despite of waiting, there was a man who was going in a cycle. He took the cycle and asked me to come and sit.”

The director of the film, Ramesh Sippy also shares, “One night, Dharam ji left for Ramanagara walking. When he reached somewhere close by, he got tired and there was an auto going by, he sat in it and reached. Him and his boy. Everybody were looking for them because in the morning the cars had to be rented and he’s not there. He just went like, ‘I just felt like walking.’”

“He loved the location so much” said Hema Malini.

And the fun does not end here. In a special surprise, Dharamendra will be seen joining the show via a video call. He will be seen giving his love and good wishes to the host Amitabh Bachchan and the guests of the Shaandaar Shukravaar episode – Hema Malini and Ramesh Sippy.

Hema Malini and Ramesh Sippy will be donating the winning amount to the ‘Hema Malini Foundation’ that will help for the education and medical treatments of the children in Mathura.

The title role of Koppa in the show is played by Kasturi Kshetri. Vishal is in the role of hero in this show. Ramesh Sippy’s wife Kiran Juneja played the role of the heroine’s mother in the serial Koppa. The show has been shot in Assam and Mumbai.

Let us tell you that Vishal, who belongs to Bilaspur, had a passion to work in films since childhood. Vishal, who was very much inspired by Hrithik Roshan, was doing a job as an engineer, but he left the job and moved to Mumbai. Vishal has done theater workshops, learned dance, rehearsed, learned dialogues, etc. and all these trainings helped him in this show.
