#NehaThakur is happy that her show #Udaariyaan is getting #positivefeedback from the audience. The show is being produced by #RavieDubey and #SargunMehta’s #DreamiyataEntertainment. #Neha plays the role of #Mallika in the #show.

“I’m really thankful to everyone who dedicatedly watches and supports us. Honestly all the responses that I read are mostly on social media and people are saying so many wonderful things like how they love the performance and story. For me the best compliment is always gonna be what my parents said when they watched me perform on the show for the first time. It’s really hard to impress them. So when my father said that he can’t see his daughter but just the character Mallika on screen, it felt amazing,” she smiles.

Dressing up as Mallika takes a lot of time. “People just see the look on screen and think ‘yeaa nice’ but there’s a team of so many people and a rack full of rejected looks behind that one look that we finally see on screens. So everything depends on how soon we find that one look which will pull off Mallika’s ‘oomph factor’ (laughs) every day,” she adds.

Daily soaps mean a lot of hard work. “My drive to go on set is ‘kabhi toh off milega’. Just kidding (laughs again). Yes, it is a lot of hard work but we shoot for 19 hours too at times and then after a bit of sleep we have to get back on the set again, that’s just our job. We just have to get ready and be in-front of the camera, but there are people who have to prepare so many things like the set-up and lightings etc even before we land on set, even the drivers, who have to be there before the crew members too as they have to pick everyone up and their equipments and drop them off too. But people might never know them. So yea, when I look in totality how every single person does that, pulls it off so effortlessly, it kinda motivates you,” she says.

Neha praises the production team and adds that Dreamiyata is making ‘dreams’ come true.

Hindi shows have evolved contentwise. “Content evolves with people and society. Since the environment around us is progressing, so are the stories being told and portrayed on screen. Today’s audience is aware and smart and they know what they want to see and spend their time on,” she adds.

Being a ‘switch on’ and ‘switch off’ kind of person, it helps Neha to perform better. “I change when I hear ‘action’ and get back to normal after they say ‘cut’. In between that, I’m nowhere close to Neha. But yes, sometimes, during emotional scenes, your emotions overpower you so much that you can’t control yourself even after the take is over. But that’s ok, because if it don’t hit you, how would it hit the audience?” she says.

“I was introduced in Season 2 of Aashiqana. My role is primary and important to the story. My character Jia is extremely smart and elegant yet very mysterious. She is an introvert, while I am an extrovert. That’s why it was difficult and challenging for me to play Jia as it took me a while to get into the skin of her character,” she says.

Talking about how she bagged the role, Nirisha says, “I was in Nepal when I was told that I have been shortlisted. I had a strange gut feeling that I was destined for this role. It was around 10am. I immediately booked a flight for 4 pm, the same day, and flew to audition. I was told in an hour of my audition that I got the role and I cried and thanked my lucky stars.”

Ask her what is the difference she feels between TV and OTT, and she says, “OTT is more well planned, prepared, rehearsed and executed. It’s the same with TV, but only in the beginning. After a point, TV eventually runs out of time to do things in detail as they need to submit a full episode the very next day which is a lot of pressure.”

However, she adds that the TV industry has evolved. “It certainly has evolved in terms of technology like cameras used and pro editing techniques and all. But when it comes to storytelling , execution and actors, I still prefer TV shows from Kasautii Zindagi Kay, Kyunki Saas Bhi and Kahani Ghar ghar ki days,” she says.

While she loves action roles, Nirisha also says that at this point in her career, she is only looking for roles which are meaty. “Anything that gets me to do action, I would love to do it. Hopefully, I get my chances in films soon as well. But I love being part of OTT and TV too as long as I get to perform action roles since I am a martial arts student,” she says, adding, “What I truly enjoy is when I am the centre of the story. I can no longer take on secondary characters anymore. I have hated every minute of it. So, I only aim and enjoy doing primary roles. It doesn’t matter if it’s TV or OTT, as long as I get to perform and given enough screen space and importance, I enjoy everything.”

Samarth does not take his character home. “Even if I want to be like Nikhil all the time then also I can’t because being like him all the time means you need a lot of energy and a lot of excitement in every small thing. I think Nikhil has given me the opportunity to live freely , to Just enjoy life, to do whatever you want to do,” he shares.

The actor shares that he takes a lot of time to get ready for the shoot. “I usually take a lot of time to style my hair, even more than girls,” he laughs.

Daily soap means a lot of hard work. “I seriously don’t have any particular plan for daily soap shoots, it’s just like whatever I’m doing I’ll give my 200% and start my day with gratitude. I enjoy doing TV and this show is closest to my heart,” he adds.

Samarth is all praise for Dreamiyata team. He feels they are creating waves through its unique programming and content. The best part is that they have targeted the youth.

Hindi shows have evolved content wise. There is an audience for all kinds of content. Agreeing, he says, “Hindi shows have evolved content wise. Nowadays there are a lot of options for audiences which are available on our platforms so If you have to impress the audience you have to work a lot on your narrative.”

The actor is close to all his co-stars. But, he is closest to Rohit Purohit, who plays the role of Advait in the show.

“He treats me like his younger brother. He has a lot of experience so he gives me a lot of advice, on and off the set too. I look up to him,” he continues, “Being the youngest in the team, people treat me like a kid. The reason why I do a lot of masti with everybody. I enjoy working with everyone.”

#SonakshiBatra has been in the #industry for years now. Currently, she is a part of the hit show #Udaariyaan that is being produced by #RavieDubey and #SargunMehta’s #DreamiyataEntertainment. The #actor, who plays Naaz in it, talks about the #show and her #journey till now.

“It feels dreamlike [to be a part of Udaariyaan]. It all happened so rapidly that I didn’t have much time to digest it. I was called to Chandigarh for the mock shoot, and the shoot actually began the day after we shot the promo. Only after watching my first episode on television did I realise how lucky I am. The journey has been going great so far,” she says.

Sonakshi’s look has been appreciated and accepted by the audience. “The response around my performance has been positive. A few members of the audience have also seen me as Manya in Nima Denzongpa, and they are quite appreciative of the fact that I can represent the antagonist just as well as the protagonist,” she adds.

The actor gets along with all her co-actors. Reels and social media posts are quite loved. “We all get along well. Finding a group of people that is diverse yet shares many similarities is uncommon. We eat our meals together, talk about our worries, and share several laughs. There’s never a dull day with them,” she smiles.

Given the shoot location is in Chandigarh, Sonakshi, like many of her co-stars, is staying there. “I enjoy exploring new places. As for Chandigarh, the people are very kind, the food is excellent, I enjoy driving a lot here, and the air is clean. Being in Chandigarh is wonderful, and it’s also closer to my hometown, Delhi,” she says.

The actor shares that her family watches the show. “They absolutely love the fact that I am exploring a negative character and how well it’s going and they feel proud of me,” she adds.

Talking about her learning, she says, “Opportunities come knocking at our door when we least expect them. We must take the bull by the horns otherwise, you risk losing a wonderful opportunity. So, I learnt to be spontaneous.”

Giving such powerful performances, over and over is inspiring!” he says, adding, “TV shows require lots of hard work, but it’s a steady profession the fruits of which bear when people love your show and your work. That high compensates for the grind.”

Meanwhile, Sandeep says that he loves working with Prateek Sharma and Studio LSD. “It’s my first show with them and I can already feel the warmth,” he says.
