The narrative opens at the conclusion of the legendary Kalinga War. Though victorious, Emperor Ashoka is tormented by guilt and seeks redemption. In his pursuit, he creates nine sacred scriptures, each holding immense wisdom and power, and disperses them across nine locations to be safeguarded for generations. But enters Mahabir Lama (#ManojManchu), a formidable warrior intoxicated by his own strength, sets out to claim all nine texts and crown himself the supreme force. Hope lies in Vedha (#TejaSajja), the son of Ambika (#ShriyaSaran), a divine woman who had sacrificed her only child for a greater cause. Years later, a saintly woman, Vibha (#RitikaNayak), sets out to awaken Vedha to his heritage and remind him of his destined duty. How Vedha, a common man, becomes a super warrior to protect mankind forms the crux of the story.

Director Karthik crafts a truly Indian blockbuster that thrives on both heart and spectacle. The visual effects range from breathtaking to slightly inconsistent, but the scale remains impressive. Mirai can boast of outstanding performances. The cast elevates the film to another level. After outstanding performance in HanuMan, Teja Sajja shines with conviction and displays ‘Hero’ qualities. Ritika Nayak looks pleasant and makes a memorable mark. Manoj Manchu, Shriya Saran, Jayaram, Jagapathi Babu lend good support.

Mirai is an out-and-out Indian cinematic extravaganza that seamlessly blends mythology, faith, fiction, dazzling visuals, high-octane action, and even time travel into one immersive experience.

At the special screening, over 200 students across the age groups of 18 to 23 years from different departments including Engineering, Humanities, Natural Scienes and Management interacted with actor Sharman Joshi and director and producer Paparao Biyyala. Resonating with the subject of the film, the students engaged in a conversation with the film team as they showered their love.

Music School is a musical narration of the sensitive and prevailing concern of academic pressure subjected to young students by the society, parents and teachers. With eleven songs in the film, three of them have been recreated from The Sound of Music, situationally woven beautifully in the film to suit the sensibilities of the Indian audience.

Unveiled by South star Vijay Deverakonda, the trailer of Music School was launched in the presence of the cast and crew of the film in Mumbai on Tuesday, 25th April.

Starring Shriya Saran and Sharman Joshi as music and drama teachers respectively, the trailer shows the duo attempting to put together a musical play ‘The Sound of Music’ with the young artists including Gracy Goswami and Ozu Barua, amongst others. Tracing the struggles of a music and drama teacher to promote performing arts for children amidst the immense academic pressure subjected by the parents, teachers and society, the trailer takes the audience on a musical journey.

Producers and distributors are planning several shows before its release on 12 th May for schools and colleges including a screening at JNU, Delhi on 8th May.

Presented by Yamini Films, Hyderabad, this multi-lingual film is shot in Hindi and Telugu, and dubbed in Tamil. It is releasing on 12th May 2023 by PVR in Hindi – Tamil and Dil Raju in Telugu.
