Recently, during the shooting of the Doctor Don serial, Shweta took a photo of herself in a red saree and uploaded it on social media. Because she feels that since red is her favourite colour it makes her look more ravishing. Shweta’s beauty is still visible in this red saree. Shweta’s look is unique in the Doctor Don serial. She is seen wearing variety of beautiful sarees every day and the audience has showered love on Shweta’s photos including her  red saree look.

As per the court orders, The Maharashtra government has allowed senior actors above the age of 65 to be present on the sets of any shootings. But despite permission from the authorities, for quite a few senior artistes, above the age of 65, it’s shoot from home. Take a case of senior actress Rohini Hattangadi. She plays a pivotal part in ‘Doctor Don’ but she’s still unable to visit the serials’ sets.

She plays mother to Dr Monica played by Shweta Shinde, who is keen to see her daughter and Deva come together romantically. When the fresh episodes started telecasting her presence was through video calls to her daughter. Monica and she always discuss everything related to their lives wherein the mother helps her daughter to take proper decisions.

The reason is still unknown, why Rohini Hattangadi is not visiting the sets, but one thing is sure that it doesn’t hamper the entertainment quotient of ‘Doctor Don’ as she’s available through video calls.

Zee Yuva’s popular serial ‘Doctor Don’ is viewer’s favourite. Devdatta Nage and Shweta Shinde have come together for the first time and audiences are backing them. In recent episodes viewers got to see a twist in the form of Deva and Mogra coming together which angered Monica. She is also jealous of the fact that Deva is close to Mogra. If that is not enough, now there’s another twist in the serial in the form of Deva’s daughter Radha coming into picture.

Radha is Deva’s only child whom he loves hugely. But Radha comes to know of Deva’s infamous ways of earnings and gets driven away emotionally from him. Which disturbs Deva no end. Actually to be close to Radha, Deva had taken pains to join her college as a student. In the process he is attracted to college dean Monica. He is trying to woo her too but that fact is disturbing Radha. Radha feels that her father is drifting away from her, emotionally. She is making efforts to be a clog in their relationship.

On Radha’s birthday Kabir plans a surprise for her. He gifts her her mother’s letter. When Radha reads it, she finds that it’s written by her father and not her mother which saddens her further. This upsets kabir too who confronts Deva. He vows never to forgive him. With so many things happening, what will be Deva’s response? What happens to Deva, Monica and Radha’s unusual triangle?

We have a custom that if, during the Ganapati festival, a woman is pregnant in the house, then Ganapati is not immersed but kept covered in the house. Next year before immersing the new idol, previous year’s idol is immersed first. I remember one of the year’s Ganapati festivals, my sister-in-law was pregnant, so there was no immersion that year. But next I was pregnant during Ganapati festival, so again there was no immersion on a consecutive year. And again the subsequent year my brother-in-law’s wife was pregnant, and again that’s year we could not immerse any of the idols. On the fourth year we could immerse all idols and we did it with much more joy and fanfare. I really cherish this memory.

Devdatta Nage (Doctor Don – Zee Yuva)

My childhood was spent in Pen and Pen is considered to be the abode of idols of Lord Ganesha. Beautiful Bappa’s idols are made here. Since childhood, I have seen idols of Bappa hovering around me. I used to make my own idol of Bappa. But the biggest blessing I got from Bappa was my role as Khandoba in Jai Malhar. I got fame with it and I have seen many idols being made around me. I had Ganapati Idol installed for three years, much to the happiness of all family members. I get emotional remembering those days. All those finds memories are locked in my heart forever.

After lifting lockdown partially, many television serials started shooting fresh episodes. Zee Yuva’s ‘Doctor Don’ too started filming new episodes and audiences are loving it. Since the set has been shifted to Karjat and entire resort has been booked, unit gets constrictive sometimes. Following all the guidelines and rules given by the government, filming of Marathi serial is going on. An outsider is not allowed on the set.  Also no one on the set is allowed to go out. As a result of these new rules, a different atmosphere is being seen on the serial’s set.

There’s no doubt that Doctor Don on ‘Zee Yuva’ is viewer’s favourite serial. New episodes of this serial are telecast from Monday to Saturday at 9 pm. All the artists are adapting to the new methodology and environment.  However, all the actors on the sets of ‘Doctor Don’ have recently received a wonderful treat. The entire congregation was treated to ‘Puri’s’ made by the producer and actress Shweta Shinde herself.

It so happened that in one the senes picturised required Monica a.k.a. Dr Dean needed to cook and Shweta decided to fry Puris for the unit. As soon as the filming of the scene was over, she really started making puris. The whole congregation was very happy to have delicious food. According to the information received from the set, actor Anurag Worlikar, who is playing the role of her son, was the happiest. Due to his love for food, this treat was very special to him. Shweta’s hairdresser and her assistant also helped her in this task. Everyone loved this unique treat especially no one is allowed to step out of the resort.

After lockdown was lifted partially, entertainment industry was happy as they got a permission to commence shootings. Lots of producers have started shoots of their popular serials, so has producer-actor Shweta Shinde. After the stupendous success of ‘Lagi Zal Jee’, Shweta Shinde came up with Dr Don on Zee Yuva. In fact she is essaying a lead role in it too. It was a very popular show and she wanted to resume shoot as early as possible. So The filming of the serial has resumed. New episodes of the series will be available from July 13.  Considering the corona crisis, it is being filmed with all due care.

Talking about the atmosphere on the set and how Shweta Shinde is taking care of it, Shweta said, “Mira Road is a very busy place. It was decided not to shoot in this ‘Red Zone’. Currently shooting of the series has started at a resort in Karjat. The cast and crew of the serial live there. No one is allowed in or out of the premises. Everyone on the set is acting responsibly, thinking that we should not bother anyone. I constantly keep a thermos with me. I drink hot water, take vitamin C pills from time to time. It is needed as I need to boost my immune system. I follow good diet for good health, exercise regularly. Also I do my own make-up, hairstyle etc and the equipments are properly sterilized. Even the clothes used in the serial are also properly sterilized and used. In the beginning, everything seems a little difficult but we all are slowly getting used to it.”
