Singer Savaniee has done many reality shows earlier, she says, “I was a contestant in the reality show ‘SaReGaMaPa’ on ‘Zee Marathi’ in 2011. Then I reached the final and became the runner-up. Then last year I was a mentor at the ‘Sangit Samrat’ show on ‘Zee Yuva’. And now he was also a mentor in the program ‘Singing Star’ on Sony Marathi. So the journey from a contestant to a mentor over the last several years has been very educative.”

She goes on to describe her experience as a runner-up in the Singing Star program, ‘The whole journey on that stage passed before my eyes in an instant. The role of mentor was extremely responsible. Besides, actor Astad Kale has studied classical music. So it was a little easier for me to adjust. Due to his study of classical music, singing songs based on classical music was going to be easy for him. But he should sing different types of songs in the competition and prove himself. That was my wish. So I first sang various genres with him and then practiced classical singing for the finale.’

She goes on to say, “We performed all the songs in each part with the same energy. Moreover, as a mentor, I told Astad that our competition is with ourselves and not with others.  Only then will we be able to reach the milestone.”

Sony Marathi is launching a brand new singing reality show, ‘Singing Star’, starting from 21st August, ‘20. In it an actor/actress is paired with a singer as a pair and number of Jodis will compete with each other. Comic actor Anshuman Vichare and Juili Joglekar are paired in this show. Anshuman is a famous comic actor who likes to sing too. He’s reasonably good singer and can give a lot of singers a run for their money.he is not a trained singer but he thinks that singing is a god’s gift to him. Young singer Juili has been part of a singing reality show and she’s confident that she and Anshuman’s Jodi is going to rock the show. She also has a lot of followers on social media and has a YouTube channel.

Anshuman and Juili have a good rapport and Juili calls Anshuman Dada and Anshuman also calls her ‘Taydi’ meaning ‘sister’ in marathi. The pair have started their Riyaz and are getting ready for the competition.
