In a recent interview, director AR Murugadoss said, “I didn’t plan the whole film (Madharasi) with Shah Rukh Khan, but I did pitch the character to him long back. I told him 7-8 years ago, and even he liked it.”

He added further, “Back then, I only had the character…just an idea, not the full script. After watching the movie (Madharasi), you’ll realize what I meant by ‘character’. At that time, cinematographer Ravi K Chandran arranged a meeting for me with SRK. He was so sweet and said ‘we’ll do the film’, but the delay was very long, which is why it never materialized,”

Moreover, with Dil Madharaasi, the audiences are in for an incredible cinematic experience as Sivakarthikeyan and director AR Murugadoss join hands for the first time. This certainly makes the film a massive one worth waiting for.

Anirudh Ravichander is a well renowned music composer and playback singer who works primarily in Tamil cinema, in addition to Telugu and Hindi films.

Dil Madharaasi, helmed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sri Lakshmi Movies, boasts a star-studded, power-packed cast. Rukmini Vasanth, joined by powerhouse performers Vidyut Jammwal, Biju Menon, Shabeer, and Vikranth. The film features editing by Sreekar Prasad and action choreography by Kevin and Dhilip Masters. Kamal Haasan, Sony Pictures Films India (SPFI)- the Indian local production arm of Sony Pictures International Productions, and Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI) announced today that they will be collaborating on a new film, currently untitled, that will star Sivakarthikeyan in the leading role, and will be written and directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. The film will be produced by SPFI, multi-faceted legend Kamal Haasan and R. Mahendran and co-produced by God Bless Entertainment.

This collaboration marks SPFI’s debut foray into Tamil cinema after they synergized with south star Prithviraj Sukumaran in 2019 for the Malayalam film ‘Nine’ and superstar Mahesh Babu for the forthcoming Telugu film, ‘Major’.

This is the 51st production of RKFI, 50th being ‘Vikram’ starring Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, and produced by Kamal Haasan and R. Mahendran, to be out in Summer 2022.

Says iconic actor, director and producer Kamal Haasan, “The power of a well-told story is transformative, and this story will move, uplift and inspire the audience in many ways. I am very proud to be collaborating with Sony Pictures Films India, actor Sivakarthikeyan and director Rajkumar Periasamy to bring this compelling story to the big screen.”
