So much so, that even before she could come for the auditions, her father placed a bet of INR 500 with her mother on the grounds that Soumya would get eliminated in the first round itself! Interestingly, Soumya cleared the first round with rave comments from all the judges! Furthermore, to add an element of fun and humor in the situation, Soumya’s father announced another bet of INR 5,000 rupees on his daughter not being able to clear the next round of the audition. To this, Terence challenged her father with a bet of his own and said that he himself will reward INR 5,000 rupees if Soumya qualifies to the next round.

On this chucklesome incident Soumya shares, “I am grateful to have gotten the opportunity of pursuing my passion for dance on such an esteemed platform on India’s Best Dancer! However, I also intend to study further, become a doctor to fulfil my dad’s dream. I firmly believe nothing is impossible and if we set our minds to achieve something, nothing can stop us. The sky is the limit! But for now, I will put all my dedication and focus on becoming the best dancer India has ever seen.”
