Talking about it, the life coach shares, “I have been taking online classes and sessions since 2015 as most of my clients are from different states and countries during COVID-19. It also helped me in connecting with more people because of the boom in applications.”

She continues to give details of her classes, “I took online reiki course level-1 and level-2 online via zoom during which I interacted with people from USA, Dubai, Mumbai (with Tannaz Irani ji) and from Delhi (Dr. Kapil J, a senior neurosurgeon). I am thankful to all on social media for the support system in reaching our audience.”

When asked if there was a difference when dealing with the public vis-à-vis the layman, Dr Kaul says, “Some celebrities are already into spirituality. In fact, even the general public are now starting to believe in their own power. This is the reason why I chose to write a book. I wish everyone would understand and believe the power of their mind and trust that they all have the ability to be a healer.”

#SuchetaKhanna has portrayed a pool of emotions on-screen through her character #IndraniSharma in Rajan Shahi’s “#WohTohHaiAlbelaa”. She plays a determined, headstrong woman, whose life took a 360-degree turn after her husband’s demise. Be it her impactful dialogue delivery, or just her strong demeanor, she excels in every frame she is captured in.

Asked if she feels this is one of the most challenging roles she has ever portrayed on-screen, she said, “Every role is a challenge, but it’s not the most challenging role. I am playing a good role in the show and I am thoroughly enjoying it. I wouldn’t call it challenging.”

“Personally, I love doing comedy. It is very rare that I do proper drama or daily soaps. I can literally count on my fingers the shows I have done which had sad content or drama. It’s a different genre but it’s quite fun,” she added.

In the show, the Sharmas are an all-women family, and Sucheta said that it’s quite fun shooting such sequences. She said, “It’s fun on the sets, everybody has a very positive vibe. We mostly have an all-girls scene but it’s fun to be a part of this team. It’s very peaceful and we are bonding really well. The production is also very understanding and always there to solve your issues.”

Who is the most “albelaa” character on the set? “In the Sharma house, it’s Priya (Vaishnavi Ganatra) who is the most albelaa character. She is very interesting. And in the boy’s house it is Cheeru (Anuj Sachdeva) who is very albelaa,” Sucheta concluded.

In a recent conversation, Sucheta Khanna revealed about her love for Indian attires and how she likes to do fusions for Indo-western looks. Talking about her favourite Indian attire and how she keeps up her fashion quotient, she said, “White Kurta-Pyjama is my favourite Indian attire and I believe there is nothing more relaxing, comforting, and classier than that and it also gives a deep sense of Indianness. I like to style my Indian outfits into Indo-western attires by fusing my Dhoti with a shirt and so on. I always try to keep my Indian look on-point and I feel accessories form a very important part of that, either oxidised earrings or huge necklaces. My personal favourite is the Maharani necklace but that can be worn on very rare occasions like wedding. Along with this, I feel Bindi adds on to the beauty of Indian attires and completes the entire look.”

Sucheta Khanna talking about her looks in the show said “In Jijaji Chhat Parr Koii Hai, I have got a chance to play a glamorous mother and my look is quite different from the other shows that I have done before, where I have majorly played a rural woman. This show has enabled me to explore different looks and efforts have been taken by the creatives, directors, and the whole team. From my hair and makeup to the sarees I am getting to wear, I am enjoying every bit of it because I think it is suiting me.”

She further added, “I love wearing Kurtas with torn-denims as it makes me look good and confident and it is an amalgamation of western and Indian attires which I love wearing. I have been associated with Sony SAB for a very long time and it is like a home I love coming back to. “Jijaji Chhat Parr Hai season one was hit and the pressure would naturally there. But Whether I should take it or not depends on me and I choose to not think about it but concentrate on the job at hand. Jijaji Chhat Parr Koii Hai is a completely new show and the story is interesting and different. I want to make this journey special for the audience much like the first one,” she adds.

Making people laugh is not easy, therefore an actor faces a lot of challenges to make sure their gigs don’t get wrong anywhere shares Khanna. “Timing is extremely important, you also need to get the right expression, be at the right place, even writing, direction, editing everything must be perfect, at sync. Comedy is not a one-person thing and if it is situational comedy then teamwork is required otherwise it is like a stand-up act. But both options are equally difficult. As an actor needs to be spontaneous and enjoy the jokes himself/herself or else the performance might fall flat,” she says.

Khanna is all praises for the producer of the show. “Edit-II production house is one of the finest production houses that I have worked within so many years. I have worked with them before so I can vouch for it. They are very particular about actors, they make sure they are happy, comfortable and create a healthy environment for all. This production house run behind good actors and are not partial. Binaiferr maam is someone who doesn’t like to let go of people and is always standing up for her artists. The team working for this production house is strong and efficient. Our director Shashank Bali is a wonderful person to work with. He is open to actors’ improvisation and prefers teamwork,” she shares.

While shooting in the new normal is different but Khanna is enjoying every bit of the experience. This is her second show after the industry resumed work when the lockdown restrictions got lifted.

“Unlike earlier time now every sneeze scares us. The moment anyone sneezes s/he gets nasty looks from everyone,” she jokes before adding, “Well, we follow all precautions and are very careful about the way we function. I just hope people understand the efforts we are putting and enjoy watching Jijaji Chhat Parr Koii Hai every day at 10 pm on Sony SAB.”
