In view of the OTT platforms that are becoming popular in the world of film and entertainment, a brand new OTT platform was announced recently called ‘Mantra USA’. Almost all other platforms are dedicated to film-based programmes, Mantra USA plans to entertain viewers through spiritual and devotional content. In today’s stressful competitive world, it’ll help destress and calm the mind. The OTT platform “Mantra”, on which many entertainment programmes will broadcast, was announced in the presence of Hon Governer Kalarj Mishra, ‘Dream Girl’ Hema Malini and popular folk singer Padmashri Malini Awasthi at Swami Bhakti Vedanta Mission School Hall in Lokhandwala, Andheri, Mumbai.

On this occasion, Padmashri Malini Awasthi highlighted the life of Swami Vivekananda and congratulated the makers of ‘The Great Monk : Swami Vivekananda’ and highlighted the efforts of Swami Vivekananda for nation building. Dream Girl Hema Malini started her talk by praising the lotus crown while reciting a Sholka. She shared the experience in a film made on Swami Vivekananda. She also highlighted the life of Ramakrishna Paramhans and Swamy Vivekananda and said that we should feel proud that such saints lived in our country.  Serials and films should be made on such personalities so that the new generation gets to learn from these personalities. She said ‘Kamal Mukut and my association goes back to 40 years. His dream project of serial on Swami Vivekananda is laudable. I remember a film on the same subject which was produced by Subba Rama Reddy and was directed by G B Iyer. I got an opportunity to work in this film. I played Kaali Maa, Mithun Chakravarty played Ramkrishna Paramhans. Today’s generation should know about saints like Vivekanand and Ramkrishna Paramhans. I feel that every decade new producers and actors should come forward and make serials on these subjects’.

Hon. Gov. Kalraj Mishra said ‘It is praiseworthy making a serial on such a great man who supernaturalised Indianness all over the world. He gave direction to the whole world’. He told a story about Ramkrishna Paramhansa who was a guru of Swami Vivekananda. While describing Swami Vivekananda’s lectures of Shikagas, he highlighted his great personality. He kept the emerging power of India in front of the whole world and also mentioned the inspiration given to the youth and hoped that all these things will be presented to the people through this serial.
