In an era dominated by big-ticket spectacles, Vadh 2’s sustained third-week run stands out as a rare example of a content-driven film finding theatrical success purely through audience advocacy.

Despite the influx of new releases, Vadh 2 continues its third week run on the strength of heartfelt word-of-mouth, perhaps a first for a franchise headlined by senior actors. Trends indicate steady hold over the third week too, with strong recommendations driving fresh footfall week after week.

Expressing himself on the film’s theatrical performance, Sanjay Mishra says, “It feels incredibly special and encouraging to see Vadh 2 enter its 3rd week at the box office. The love is pouring in the form of messages, reviews, recommendations and it all reflects how deeply the film has connected with the audiences. Jaspal once again handled the storytelling with great conviction.”

Adds Neena Gupta, “What excites me most is the love audiences are showering on Vadh 2. To see this become into a franchise and grow week after week is truly a beautiful reward in itself. Jaspal gave us an honest story, and we trusted his vision completely. I’m also thankful to Luv Films for backing this film and presenting it with such confidence.

Adding a deeply emotional dimension to the film’s promotional journey, Sanjay Mishra, Neena Gupta, and Kumud Mishra recently returned to the National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi. As proud alumni of the iconic institution, the trio were welcomed with immense warmth by students, faculty members, and theatre lovers, turning the visit into a heartfelt celebration of cinema, theatre, and craft.

During the interaction, Sanjay Mishra fondly reflected on his formative years at NSD and the invaluable lessons he absorbed simply by observing his seniors, especially the late Irrfan Khan. Speaking about his experience, Mishra said:

“I don’t even know what I learned or didn’t learn at NSD, but what I truly had were people like Irrfan bhai. You could simply watch him. Virendra Saxena was there, Ankur ji was there, Robin Das is sitting right in front of you today while you’re busy looking at your mobile phones. Just watching them was a lesson in itself. Anup da as well these were people you kept observing. I remember once thinking, while Irrfan bhai was performing, ‘When will this man start acting?’ That’s the level at which he was playing the game.”

His words resonated strongly with the audience, underlining how learning at NSD went far beyond classrooms, it was about witnessing mastery up close and absorbing the craft through observation.
