London Files is an investigative thriller series that follows homicide detective Om Singh, played by Arjun Rampal, as he takes on a missing person’s case in London city. Battling his own personal demons, Om is forced to take on the case of media mogul Amar Roy’s missing daughter. Amar, played by Purab Kohli, is a divisive figure due to his support of a draconian anti-immigration bill. As Om starts to investigate the case, a darker mystery comes to light. One that threatens to expose buried secrets and Om’s repressed past.

Packed with edge-of-the-seat drama and suspense, London Files also stars Gopal Datt, Sapna Pabbi, Medha Rana, Sagar Arya, and Eva Jane Willis in key roles. Directed by Sachin Pathak and produced by Jar Pictures, the six-episode series is all set to premiere on 21st April only on Voot Select.

Purab Kohli shared, “It was fab to be back on a set with Arjun after Rock on. And Arjun really shines in this one. Though my role is a special appearance in the series it was interesting playing a character which is quite unlike me. A media baron with secrets from his past that threatens to destroy everything he has worked hard for, and in the centre of it all is his daughter who has gone missing. Lots of grey shades to Amar Roy. Also, the second time I’m working with Mohit, and Ajay so feels good to be strengthening my relationship with my producers. Sachin is a very unassuming director to look out for, I’m sure he’s going to go a long way in the business. And finally, very happy to be back on Voot after ‘It’s not that Simple’ which incidentally was my first Indian web series.”

Richa believes that it is essential for any actor to expand their horizons by stepping out of their comfort zone and doing a role that is complicated and is not simply black and white. She finds preparing for a role tougher than acting for it.

“Portraying the role of a cop was not easy”, says Richa, “it demanded a very different mental makeup. I was lucky enough to hang out with some female cops and understand the dual pressures of managing the needs of the family in the Indian social set up, and working as a law enforcer.”

“OTT gives creative liberty to the makers in the way a story is being written and executed. The treatment of digital shows is different from regular TV shows. IMM2 has been doing great till now. I hope that the show grows even more with time,” he says.

As far as Siwach’s on-screen character is concerned, the actor shares that he was looking for something that he has not attempted before. “A stylised international gangster was definitely on the list. IMM2 gave me that opportunity. The show has offered me a larger-than-life character on the lines of classy, wicked, charming gangster villains. My character Vyom rules the game here. There is an artistic inclination within the layers that he has,” he describes his character.

Heaping praise on the producers of the show Yash Patnaik and Mamta Patnaik of Beyond Dreams Entertainment, the actor adds, “I look up to Yash sir and Mamta  ma’am. The way they have taken Beyond Dreams to where it stands today, I don’t think there is any TV actor who doesn’t want to be a part of their family. I feel humbled to have been chosen by them for such an interesting character.”

The earlier edition of the thriller became a trendsetter and connected well with the audience. This time too the show has touched a chord.

Abhinav, however, remains adamant and says that his principles won’t allow him to nominate anyone else but Rahul.

Eventually, Rahul goes on to nominate Eijaz, and the two have a major clash. Eijaz blames Rahul for not standing true to his word. Rahul, on the other hand, questions Eijaz just what has he done for him. Eijaz, surprisingly, nominates Abhinav and wants to see him in the list of contestants up for eviction.

When Kavita goes inside the confession room to nominate her chosen contestant, the housemates have a huge laugh at it. Her style of nominating Aly has them all in splits! Her chaste Hindi diction has them all laughing and the housemates decide to run away rather than listen to her very long, gyan-fuelled appeal for nomination!
