#WorldHeritageDay, the International Day for Monuments and Sites, is observed on April 18 annually to promote culture and heritage. The day focuses on increasing awareness of the importance of cultural heritage diversity and preserving it for future generations. &TV artists talk about their experiences visiting some of India’s most iconic heritage sites. These include Ashutosh Kulkarni (Krishan Bihari Vajpayee, Atal), Yogesh Tripathi (Daroga Happu Singh, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and Vidisha Srivastava (Anita Bhabi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai).

Ashutosh Kulkarni, aka Krishan Bihari Vajpayee from Atal, shares, “India’s splendour is magnified by its rich cultural tapestry, exemplified by its heritage sites. I have embarked on countless journeys across the country, drawn to these sites by my passion for travel and the desire to capture their essence through my lens and memories. However, my recent visit to Ayodhya proved particularly profound, as I encountered abundant beauty steeped in cultural heritage. Among the treasures of Ayodhya lies the historic Hanuman Garhi temple, a testament to the city’s rich past. My pilgrimage ahead of Ram Navami was a deeply spiritual experience steeped in the temple’s significance within Hindu mythology and its serene surroundings. Perched atop a hill, Hanuman Garhi is a sanctuary devoted to Lord Hanuman, the loyal disciple of Lord Rama, and stands as one of Ayodhya’s holiest sites. Ascending the temple’s steps, one is greeted by the musical chime of bells and the fragrance of incense, enveloping the hill in a sacred aura. Inside, the sanctum sanctorum captivated me with its tranquillity and the divine presence of Lord Hanuman. Pilgrims from distant lands converge here, seeking solace and blessings from the mighty deity whose unwavering devotion inspires millions. My journey to Ayodhya, preceding Ram Navami, remains etched in my memory as a profound exploration of ancient traditions. Each step in this sacred city deepened my connection to heritage, offering glimpses into bygone eras and diverse cultures. Through such experiences, I find myself intertwined with my heritage, recognising that history binds us to something greater than ourselves.”

Yogesh Tripathi, Daroga Happu Singh in Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “India’s allure is enriched by its wealth of historical landmarks. With a passion for history, I seize every opportunity to embark on journeys that unravel the tapestry of the past, transforming these sites into bastions of cultural heritage. Among the many forts and palaces I’ve explored, my latest escapade led me to the majestic Gwalior Fort, renowned for its storied past, particularly the “Man Mandir” and Gujari Mahal palaces. Constructed by the Tomar Rajput ruler Man Singh Tomar, Gwalior Fort is a testament to India’s ancient history and architectural prowess, earning its place as a distinguished UNESCO World Heritage site. The fort’s towering walls command attention, offering panoramic vistas of the bustling city below. Within its formidable embrace lie treasures of architectural ingenuity, from opulent palaces to ornate temples and reservoirs, each echoing the cultural richness of its era. My inaugural visit left me spellbound by the fort’s grandeur and intricate design, reluctant to depart from its captivating ambience. Moreover, the fort is an ideal locale for strolls with friends, immortalising moments through picturesque snapshots and forging cherished memories.”

Vidisha Srivastava, aka Anita Bhabi from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, “Growing up in Varanasi, a city steeped in heritage, every street corner tells a story of India’s architectural grandeur and enduring spirit. Varanasi hosts a remarkable array of temples with its unique architectural style and deep spiritual significance. Among them, the revered Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, devoted to Lord Shiva, stands prominently, attracting devotees from far and wide. Recently, I paid a visit there to seek blessings on Mahashivratri, and as always, the experience was profound and spiritually uplifting. I can confidently say that the temple and the city hold a special place in my heart for numerous reasons. Varanasi’s intricate alleyways, bustling markets, iconic ghats along the Ganges, and lively street scenes collectively create an enchanting atmosphere, giving visitors a glimpse into its rich tapestry of customs and ceremonies. Varanasi emerged as a cultural melting pot, shaped over millennia by successive rulers and civilisations. For me, the sacred Ganges River was an integral part of my childhood, serving as a serene and spiritual backdrop to daily life. Whether witnessing the sunrise from the ghats or participating in the evening aarti ceremonies, the holy river left an indelible mark on my upbringing, instilling a profound reverence for nature and tradition. Whenever I return to this sacred city, I make it a point to explore the ghats, capturing their beauty in every possible way and cherishing the memories and connections that tie me to this timeless place.”

Watch your favourite artists in Atal at 8:00 pm, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan at 10:00 pm, and Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai at 10:30 pm, airing every Monday to Friday on &TV.

The post &TV’s artists Ashutosh Kulkarni, Yogesh Tripathi and Vidisha Srivastava visit India’s iconic heritage sites! first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

#WorldHeritageDay is observed on April 18 to raise awareness of historical monuments and sites. Moreover, the day emphasises the importance of preserving national heritage. On this occasion, &TV artists Micckie Dudaaney (Varun Sharma, Doosri Maa), Gazal Sood (Kate Singh, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and Imran Nazir Khan (Timmy, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai) share their wish list of World Heritage sites they wish to explore.

Micckie Dudaaney, aka Varun Sharma, shares, “As a native of Dilwalon ki Dilli, I am proud of its heritage sites. I have been watching the splendour of the Qutub Minar and the Red Fort since childhood. But, as a wanderer, I wanted to visit Jaipur as the city was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site last year. Fortunately, my show Doosri Maa set is here, and we are currently shooting for it in the ‘Pink City’ a few weeks ago. Jaipur’s beauty and history, whether ancient, medieval, or modern, are breathtaking. I have already created a list of places to visit, like creative and architectural mastery at Amer Fort, Jantar Mantar, City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and Govind Dev Temple. As soon as I have some time off from my hectic schedule, I will be experiencing Jaipur’s rich historical monuments and flooding my social media with its incredible pictures.”

Gazal Sood, aka Kate from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “Most of us have a bucket list of places we would like to visit someday; mine was to see the epitome of love, the Taj Mahal. During college, I always fantasized about clicking a picture by posing while holding the Taj Mahal’s onion dom. The seventh wonder of the world looks more beautiful at night and after experiencing it in the morning with my friends, we went to see it at night under a full moon. It looked beautiful. The Heritage sites are our legacy from the past and we must preserve them. On World Heritage Day, I urge everyone to do their bit to preserve these historical treasures.”

Imran Nazir Khan, aka Timmy, from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “I visited Madhya Pradesh last year and fell in love with the historic and infrastructural beauty of the Indian heart. It is the state home to many UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Eversince I saw that TV advertisement ‘Agar Madhya Pradesh aaye aur Khajuraho nahi dekha toh kya dekha?’. I decided to experience it someday, which was finally fulfilled last year. All Khajuraho temples are worth visiting for their sculpture and architectural symbolism in the Nagara style. These temples are India’s unique gift to the world, representing life’s love and joy in sublime expression. Seeing such architecture and other heritage sites in MP, like Sanchi Stupa and Bhimbetka rock shelters, was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and preserving it is equally significant. Another Heritage Site on my wishlist is Ajanta Ellora caves in Maharashtra which I will be visiting soon with a few of my friends. On World Heritage Day, let’s pledge to restore and protect our ancient world heritage sites.”

Watch Doosri Maa at 8:00 pm, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan at 10:00 pm, and Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai at 10:30 pm, airing every Monday to Friday on &TV.

The post &TV actors Micckie Dudaaney, Gazal Sood and Imran Nazir Khan want to visit ‘these’ World Heritage Sites! first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

Every year on April 18, #WorldHeritageDay is observed to raise awareness about historical monuments and sites and highlight the significance of preserving national heritages. On this day, #&TV artists Danish Akhtar Saifi (Nandi) and Kapil Nirmal (Tarkasur) from Baal Shiv, Pawan Singh (Zafar Ali Mirza) and Akansha Sharma (Sakina Mirza) from Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai?, Yogesh Tripathi (Happu Singh) and Charul Malik (Rusa) from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, Shubhangi Atre (Angoori Bhabi) and Soma Rathod (Amma) from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai discuss their favourite heritage sites in different states of India need and discuss the need to maintain and preserve the monumental structures.

Kapil Nirmal (Tarkasur) from &TV’s Baal Shiv says, “Jaipur’s beauty and history, whether ancient, medieval, or modern, are stunning. Jaipur was recently designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its iconic structures, such as Amer Fort, Jantar Mantar, City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and Govind Dev Temple excel in creative and architectural mastery. This huge recognition has stunned every Indian citizen, particularly Rajasthanis”.

Pawan Singh (Zafar Ali Mirza) from &TV’s Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai? shares, “As someone who grew up in Dilwalon ki Dilli, I take pride in its heritage sites. The magnificence of the Qutub Minar must be seen by tourists across the world. Delhi’s India Gate is another popular site that is always packed with tourists from all around the world. Seeing the architecture of Delhi and other heritage sites like Humayun’s Tomb (Maqbaera e Humayun), Lal Qila is a once-in-a-lifetime experience”.

Yogesh Tripathi (Happu Singh) from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan shares, “Uttar Pradesh is rich in heritage sites. Sri Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi is one of the oldest and most revered temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. The old palaces alongside the Ghats offer a beautiful scene of unique architecture. On this World Heritage Day, I urge everyone to visit UP and experience its heritage sites”. Shubhangi Atre (Angoori Bhabi) from &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai shares, “Madhya Pradesh aaye aur Khajuraho nahi dekha toh kya dekha?. The temples are worthy visiting for their sculpture and architectural symbolism in the Nagara style. On World Heritage Day, I want to appeal to everyone to not tamper with our great historical treasures, but rather protect them”.

Danish Akhtar Saifi (Nandi) from &TV’s Baal Shiv shares, “In Bihar, the Mahabodhi Temple complex is a popular UNESCO site to explore. Apart from that, Nalanda Mahavihara University has always caught my attention. A perfect memory of the time of the flourishing Gupta and Pala periods, Nalanda is an acclaimed tourist magnet in Bihar.”

Akansha Sharma (Sakina Mirza) from &TV’s Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai? shares, “The historical monuments of Maharashtra must be in everyone’s travel list. The Elephanta Caves in Mumbai are a group of beautiful temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and I have always extremely content to visit the place. The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus The Victorian Gothic Revival architecture stands out in the hustle-bustle of Mumbai and is a top favourite of mine in the city of dreams”.

Charrul Malik (Rusa) from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan shares, ““We all love the way Chandigarh has transformed into a modern city, but the fact that it also has some of the most famous heritage sites makes it one of my favourite go-to destinations. A visit to Chandigath is incomplete without visiting the Golden Temple. One must also go to Wagah Border to experience patriotic fervour. I strongly recommend everyone to also explore the recently declared heritage site – Chandigarh Capitol Complex, which is considered one of the most significant pieces of the architect’s realised body of works. On this World Heritage Day, let us commit to protecting India’s heritage sites and continue taking pride in our history.”

Soma Rathod (Amma) from &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai shares, “Gujarat is a state filled with natural and man-made wonders. There are so many places that I love to explore again and again. But Rani ni Vav, Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, and Dholavira are my favourites. This year on July 4, Ahmedabad became the first Indian city to be recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage City. The old city consists primarily of the city’s residential and historic core, sometimes called “Pol”. Gujarat is a place with a rich heritage, which is reflected in its historic monuments. Whenever I read about Gujarat’s history and valour stories, I feel extremely elated and proud”.

Watch all your favourite actors in shows like Baal Shiv, Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai?, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan and Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai from 8:00 pm to 11:30pm on &TV.

The post &TV artists share their favourite Indian Heritage Sites on World Heritage Day! first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.
