While he does not have a real sister, actor Worship Khanna says that he is blessed to have friends and cousins in his life. The actor, who is known for his roles in Kumkum Bhagya, Meri Doli Mere Angana, Ishq Subhan Allah, and web series like Hello Jee and Cold Lassi and Chicken Masala, is currently seen in Pati Brahmachari.

“I don’t have any special plan for Rakhi this year because I am working and I am in Bombay. And one more thing, I don’t have a real sister, but I’ve always felt the absence of having one. So, even though I don’t have a biological sister, I have people who are just like real sisters to me. One of my sisters is in Bombay, she’s my friend’s wife. The same one we recently did an article on. You must have seen Shweta Nair. Then I have my maasi’s daughters, who tie rakhi to me and whom I consider just like my real sisters. So again, I have five sisters, my maasi’s daughters. If you want to mention their names, they are Sakshi, Stuti, Anamika, Ayushi, Swikriti, Shwetha Nair who is my friend’s wife and Sanskriti Shweta Khanna who is my real bhabhi (sister-in-law) . I remember, the day she got married and came to our house, my mom welcomed her like a daughter. So, when my mom had that gesture for her as a daughter, I had the same gesture for her as a sister. From the moment she came into our home, till now, every year, I’ve got rakhi tied from her too. I treat her exactly like a sister. So in short, one in Bombay, five more, and then six… seven. I have seven sisters in total. And I feel blessed,” he says.
Talking about Rakhi celebrations, he says, “Honestly, we never really plan anything. Whenever we are together, we celebrate. But many times, I am not with them physically. Whether I am in India, Dubai, or Bombay, no matter where I am, the rakhis always reach me. Somehow, they manage to send them on time. When we were kids and stayed together, we used to celebrate together. But now, even if I’m away, my sisters never miss sending me rakhi. It always reaches me.”

Where gifts are concerned, he has always received many on rakhi, he says. “Trust me, I’ve grown up now, but I’ve never given any of my sisters a gift on Rakhi. I always get gifts from my sisters instead. Maybe because I’m the youngest at home, or maybe they love me too much, but none of them ever asked me for gifts. If I ever gave anything, it would be like, just chocolates, nothing big. But they always give me gifts on Rakhi. So in my case, it works the other way around!” he smiles. While he says he hasn’t faced situations where he needed his sisters’ support, he has always been their pillar.

“I think every moment is special. I don’t think there’s ever been a time where I got into trouble and needed my sisters’ support. I’ve always been a very obedient guy, never done anything wrong that needed backup! But I’ve always stood by my sisters. Whenever they’ve needed anything, like going out, wearing something different, or doing something they love, I’ve always supported them. I always tell my family, ‘Let her go, let her do what she wants.’”

He says that his sisters love to shower love on him, in their own way. “The way my sisters show their love is very special. They know exactly what I love to eat. I’ve said in many interviews that I don’t like outside food. I only love home-cooked food. So my sisters know my favorite dishes. Even before I reach their house, I don’t even need to say anything. They already have my favorite food ready. They know I love baked items like cakes, cookies, and brownies, so they make those for me. They make dahi vada too. This is how our bond works. That is their way of showing love.”

Calling the sisterly bond a mix of motherly love and friendship, Worship adds, “I truly feel that a sister is like a mother and a friend. That’s the bond I share. I can talk openly to each of my sisters, about my girlfriend, about my secrets, about anything. I’ve never felt like I need to hide anything, whether she’s an elder or younger sister. I’ve never hidden anything from them.”

The 78th Cannes Film Festival started on May 13, bringing its usual sparkle to the French Riviera. For actors, walking the Cannes red carpet is still a dream come true. For movie lovers, it’s a treat to see great films from around the world. But some people feel that the focus has shifted. Is Cannes still about cinema? Or is it turning into a fashion show for influencers? We asked some actors what they think and their views were both fun and thoughtful.

#RomiitRaaj: Not at all… I feel Cannes is getting Bigger & moving with times… it’s got best of films getting screened & old films which are restored also getting a huge audience and love. From India we saw Karan Johar,Aishwarya Rai & even Senior actor Sharmila Tagore at Cannes & I feel it’s amazing

#RozlynKhan: Cannes Film Festival this year looked less like a film event and more like the Kumbh Mela of influencers. The only thing missing was someone shouting, ‘Jai Instagram Baba ki Jai!’They had a dress code with no gowns with trails. And what did our desi celebs do? Wore trails so long, even Indian Railways felt insecure.Urvashi Rautela walked in with a parrot. A parrot. Bro, Cannes looked like Natraj Market meets Fantasy and.Half the people representing India? Never seen them in Indian media, Indian news, or even Indian weddings. At this point, I was only expecting the Kaccha Badam guy and the Kis Colour Ki Chaddi Pehni Hai guy to show up and say, ‘Namaste Cannes, hum bhi content creator hain!’The real fear? Cannes might just ban Indians next year. ‘No influencers, no parrots, and definitely no chaddis!’

#NeelSamarthh: Cannes is still magical, no doubt. Walking that red carpet is a dream for every actor, including me. But yes, over the years, it feels like the spotlight has shifted. Earlier, it was all about cinema, stories, and strong performances. Now, sometimes it looks more like a fashion runway for influencers. That’s not a bad thing style is a part of showbiz but I do hope the heart of Cannes, which is cinema, stays alive and strong. Let’s not forget the real heroes of the festival, the films and the artists behind them.

#WorshipKhanna: I always try to look at the positive side of things. I believe times are changing, society is evolving, people are growing, and we too must adapt with time.If influencers or YouTubers are getting opportunities to walk the red carpet at Cannes, I see it as a sign that more doors are opening not just for them, but for all of us.Just because I’m an actor and haven’t walked there yet, doesn’t mean I should feel bad. Maybe I can also try influencing, or find another way to reach that stage. Everyone has their own journey, and every success comes with hard work. If they’ve reached Cannes, there must be a reason behind it.I respect their struggle. It’s not easy to achieve anything without effort. If they’ve been invited, they must have earned it in some way. So I don’t look down on anyone’s success.Instead of feeling negative, I feel motivated. If they can do it, I can too with more focus and effort. Everyone’s work is important. What may seem big for them is big for them; what’s big for me is big for me. Let’s respect all kinds of efforts.

#SaanandVerma: Cannes hasn’t lost anything. Its cinematic soul is very much still there. It’s just that it has modernized, and we have to move with the flow. These days, even a small event at a tea stall gets hyped on social media and heavily used by influencers so this is Cannes, a huge platform. Of course influencers are going to be involved.Yes, there’s the red carpet, there’s glam, there’s all of that but at the same time, its core essence has never faded. People still watch and enjoy the films.

From the soothing sip of morning chai to late-night conversations over a steaming cup, tea is more than just a beverage — it’s a tradition, a mood, and a moment of pause. Celebrated on May 21st, International Tea Day honors the cultural, emotional, and even medicinal significance of tea across the globe. Whether it’s the kadak masala chai of Indian households, herbal infusions for wellness, or classic English blends, tea brings people together in the simplest yet most comforting way. Today, as we raise our cups, celebrities too join in to share their personal chai stories, rituals, and that one perfect cup they can never resist

#RomiitRaaj : I love tea, and I start my day with masala tea. We have a very unique way of making it — we add tea leaves to boiling water and milk, and just let it be. It’s amazing with lemongrass and cardamom. My favorite tea memory is definitely from my childhood home in Kolkata — me, mom, and my brother Rohan having tea together in the morning. Sun rays would light up the living room as we sat there discussing and cherishing memories…

#ChefHarpalSinghSokhi : Tea is something I’ve grown up drinking, and Punjabi families are truly addicted to it. When I used to visit my Nani’s house in Punjab during the winters, she would serve tea in a brass glass early in the morning. We would end up drinking 3–4 cups! It’s such a cherished memory. Everything about tea is very close to Punjabi culture — whether it’s before breakfast, after breakfast, in the evening, or on any occasion. These days, there are a lot of tea varieties available, and personally, I love chamomile tea along with English Breakfast. Sometimes, I make my own tea with a unique blend: it has turmeric, roasted cumin, moringa, black salt, lemon, and ginger. I boil all of this, add a few tea leaves, strain it — and it’s so refreshing for me.

#MoonBanerrjee : I am a tea addict. No matter what, I need to have at least one cup of tea daily. Well, it’s our quintessential kadak chai. I try to avoid overly milky ones, but I like it strong — maybe with ginger at times. My favorite time of the day is tea time in the evening. I look forward to that one cup of satisfaction — only a true tea lover would understand what I mean. Of course, when I was in college, drives during the monsoon were planned only for chai and bhutta or wadas on the outskirts of Mumbai. I would love to meet Rabindranath Tagore for a cup of tea and request him to recite some of his incredible poems in Bangla.

#WorshipKhanna : I am a hard-core chai lover. I have a very bad habit — I need my morning tea in bed. I know this isn’t a great habit and I’ve been trying to change it, but honestly, I haven’t been able to yet. Every morning, I need my tea in bed. Until I have it, I don’t like to talk to anyone. If I end up talking to someone before having tea, it usually turns into a fight because I get very irritable. If I don’t get my tea, my day just doesn’t start. For me, a perfect cup of tea means sitting with my best friend, somewhere peaceful — like in the mountains or a cozy work spot — but never in a rush. I don’t like rushed, on-the-go tea. I don’t want tea just for the sake of it. I want to enjoy it peacefully, in a beautiful mug. One of my biggest quirks is that I get bored of mugs very quickly — I keep changing them. I have a habit of drinking tea in a new mug every other day.

#IndraxiKanjilal : I love making coffee or tea because it’s the easiest thing to make. I think the perfect cup of tea is when it’s raining outside, you’re at home with your family, watching something nice, and sipping tea. My mother makes really good tea. I only enjoy tea when it’s made at home — I don’t like tea that’s ordered from outside. When I was young, I used to live at my granny’s house most of the time. I loved it there. I’d always say, “I want to go to my granny’s house.” I spent more time there than at my own home. At 5 o’clock in the evening, my grannies would make tea — it was a daily ritual. Not just them, even I would get a cup because I liked acting like a grown-up. My two grannies, my mother, and I would sit on the ground and drink tea together. I would quietly listen to all their conversations while sipping mine. It’s a beautiful memory I still cherish. Today, the whole world seems to be getting into coffee culture, with very few people indulging in chai pe charcha — which used to be a vibrant part of every gully and nukkad. Sadly, humble tea is being overshadowed by the hot and happening coffee trend.

#RiddhimaSharma : I’m absolutely obsessed with tea, especially Masala Chai. My daily ritual is to wake up around 4 am, pray, and then indulge in a steaming cup of Masala Tea. It’s incredibly refreshing, especially when shared with my mother. One of my all-time favorite tea memories is imagining myself in Udaipur during the rainy season — my most loved city. There’s something magical about driving up to Sajjan Garh Palace, the way the road curves, the view gets better with every turn, and the clouds start rolling in. Once you’re at the top, you can see the whole city — lakes, hills, everything covered in mist. Sitting there with a hot cup of chai in hand, the smell of rain in the air, and the wind playing with your dupatta — it’s just… perfect. That’s the kind of tea memory that stays in your soul forever.

A Mother is often the first teacher in our lives. The lessons she teaches through words, actions, and even silence stay with us forever. These artists share one beautiful life lesson they’ve learned from their mothers that continues to shape who they are today.

#HarleenKaurRekhi : My mom has always emphasized the importance of staying grounded, no matter where life takes me. She taught me that humility is the foundation of true strength—being humble and polite, not just with those who are older, but with everyone I meet. She instilled in me the value of generosity, always reminding me to share what I have, whether it’s time, kindness, or resources, and to never lose sight of where I come from. At the heart of everything, she taught me that the measure of a person isn’t in their achievements or status, but in how they treat others and the kind of human being they are.

#MoonBanerrjee: My mom taught me to be strong in your mind and never give up, no matter what life throws at you. Stay brave, face challenges with courage, and keep going even when things get hard. But at the same time, never lose the child inside you the part that dreams big, laughs freely, loves without fear, and finds joy in the little things. That child keeps your heart soft and your spirit alive.

#RinheeSuberwal: One life lesson my mother taught me that will always stay with me is: “Never be dependent on anyone, not emotionally, not financially, not mentally.” This has shaped my personality and helped me become the independent woman I am today. She’s taught me that being self-reliant is the biggest strength anyone can have, and that strength begins with self-belief.

#WorshipKhanna: One life lesson I’ve learned from her is to never give up. My mother suffered a lot. She was a housewife, and then my father passed away. After his death, she tried to start a business. At the age of 50, she began learning Reiki healing through online courses. At that time, I never imagined she’d do something like that. But she not only completed Reiki Levels 1, 2, and 3 she became a Reiki Master. She says she wants to keep herself busy by helping people and sending out positive energy. It makes me feel so proud. After losing her husband and also her young son, she still stood strong like a pillar for us. She remains confident, grounded, and full of strength

#LuvIsrani: Her name is Anita Israni, and she has been a working woman all her life. She is the reason I started photography, and she has always been my biggest cheerleader. Today, she enjoys a retired life and goes to kitty parties—something she couldn’t do earlier because of her work commitments. She has always been a very social person, deeply connected to people, and she values relationships above all else. I’ve inherited that quality from her. Whether it’s a social gathering or a function in our extended family, she is always there for everyone. She learned that from her father. People often tell me that I look like her and that I share many of her habits. The kind of person I am today is largely because of her.

#SaanandVerma: There is truly nothing in this world that compares to the love, strength, and divinity of a mother. In my eyes, a mother is no less than a goddess. There’s a beautiful saying in Hindi that goes, “Har jagah bhagwaan nahi ja sakte, isliye bhagwaan ne maa banai,” which means “God couldn’t be everywhere, so he made mothers.” And I wholeheartedly believe in that. For me, my mother is not just the person who gave me life she is my God, my guiding light, my source of strength, and the one person whose presence makes everything feel complete. I truly believe that those who have their mothers by their side are among the luckiest people on earth. A mother’s presence is a blessing, a protection, and a form of unconditional love that cannot be replaced. I cherish every moment with my mom, and I strive every day to make her proud.

#AadeshChaudhary: My Mom is the sunshine that brightens up my day and the calm in every storm. Her unwavering support, love, and guidance mean the world to me. I am who I am because of her. She’s been my strength in moments of doubt and my celebration in moments of success. Her quiet prayers and loud cheers have carried me through life. She’s always led by example—teaching me the importance of kindness, empathy, and gratitude. She reminds me to stay grounded and to use my voice for good. Her selflessness and generosity inspire me every single day.
