After doing rounds of various Film Festivals “Morya” is releasing on 12th January 2024!
After premiering at London’s iconic cinema hall ‘Sohowala Court House Hotel Cinema’ in London, the Marathi film Morya’s teaser was released at the Cannes International Film Festival. Morya has won accolades at ‘LHIFF Barcelona, International Film Festival’, ‘Khajuraho International Film Festival’, ‘Jharkhand International Film Festival-2022’, ‘Penzans International Film Festival’, ‘Ayodhya Film Festival’, ‘Lake City International Film Festival’, ‘Bollywood International Film Festival’ etc.
“Our first production ‘Morya’ had attracted the attention of discerning critics at various international film festivals including Cannes. The audience there expressed their reaction that the character ‘Morya’ creates uneasiness, agitation and confusion in the mind”, said actor-writer-director Jitendra Barde.
A very touching story of a sanitation worker has been depicted in the movie ‘Morya’. Actor Jitendra Barde has worked hard to portray the character. The film has been shot at ‘Pimpalner’ in Dhule district. This is the first artwork of Jitendra Barde, originally from Pimpalner. Everyone including Jitendra is satisfied that the beauty of this area has been brought to the world through the film and the producer Tripti Kulkarni, Rajesh Ahivale, co-producers Prerna Dhjekar, Poonam Nagpurkar, Mandar Mandke, Rahul Rokade, Sachin Patil have got strong support for this production.
