Ayushmann Khurrana pens down a poem celebrating Team India’s win in the Champions Trophy!

Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana, known to be a huge cricket buff and showing his support for the country for all matches – be it domestic or international couldn’t keep calm on Instagram all through yesterday as India played New Zealand in the #ChampionsTrophy2025 finals and emerged victorious! Over the course of the day, the superstar posted multiple stories watching the match and wishing #TeamIndia. Even while travelling for shoot, Ayushmann couldn’t stop watching this nerve-wracking match as shown on his Instagram stories.

Bringing together the entire set as Ayushmann was shooting for his upcoming film Thama, from Maddock’s horror comedy universe – the entire crew enjoyed the final balls of the cricketing tournament together. In a video shared on Instagram by the actor, Ayushmann could be seen glued to the screen, nervously watching the final moments of the India vs New Zealand match. As victory was sealed, he broke into cheers, with the rest of the crew joining in. “Shoot ruk jaati hai jab India jeet jaata hai!” Ayushmann captioned the post, suggesting that the team paused the film’s shooting to witness India’s winning moment.

Ayushmann took to Instagram and posted a video talking about how he can’t get over India’s win in the finals while reciting a poem he penned down for Team India’s win, signature Ayushmann style. The poem is as below –

_Koi hara na paaya humein — upar wala hamara saarathi hai._
_Par sach kahoon, hamari team selfless hai… niswarthi hai._
_It’s actually a rare sight to see somebody else sad for somebody else’s dismissal._
_Shubman out hota tha, nirash Rohit hota tha._
_Shreyas kuch galat kar deta, Kohli ka chehra utar jaata._
_Kohli ke out hone par toh KL ne keh bhi diya frustrate hokar —_
_‘Kya kar rahe ho yaar? Main le raha tha na risk!’_
_Pakistan ke against, Rohit haath utha utha kar khush ho raha tha,_
_Aur Virat ko keh raha tha — ‘End mein laga de, laga de six!’_
_Before the last England series ke pehle tak we were never sure about Rohit and his team._
_Rohit ka balla nahi chal raha tha and we were also missing Bumrah ki seam._
_Rohit ka hua comeback — backed by his nation._
