Trailer of Mumbai’s Local Train Love Story, ‘Mumbai Local’ Launched by Swapnil Joshi!
The trailer of the upcoming Marathi film Mumbai Local, which revolves around a romantic journey set against the backdrop of Mumbai’s lifeline – the local train – was launched recently in the special presence of renowned actor and producer #SwapnilJoshi.
Written and directed by #Abhijeet, Mumbai Local is produced by Big Brain Productions, Anandi Entertainment, and Splendid Productions. The film is backed by producers Nilesh Rathi, Prachi Raut, Sachin Agarwal, and Tanvi Maheshwari, with Tryambak Daga as the co-producer. The film is all set to hit theatres across Maharashtra on 1st August 2025.
Starring the fresh new pair of #PrathameshParab and #DnyanadaRamtirthkar in lead roles, the film narrates the story of two individuals—she, who seems to be losing everything in life, and he, who feels defeated at every step. Their eyes meet during a mundane local train commute, and a tender love story begins to unfold. The emotional and unpredictable events that follow form the core of this cinematic tale.
As the bond between the lead characters gradually strengthens, so does the intrigue in the trailer, keeping the audience curious and emotionally invested. The chemistry between the lead pair brings a refreshing angle, while a strong supporting cast ensures solid performances across the board. With powerful writing, impressive cinematography, and impactful music, the film promises to offer a wholesome cinematic experience.
Apart from Prathamesh and Dnyanada, Mumbai Local features Manmeet Pem, Prithvik Pratap, Vanita Kharat, Abhijeet Chavan, Aniket Kelkar, Sanjay Khapre, Sanjay Kulkarni, and Smita Dongre in significant roles.
The film’s cinematography is handled by Yogesh Koli, and editing by Swapnil Jadhav. Vinod Shinde serves as the Creative Director, while Dr. Sumit Patil has worked as the Art Director. Lyrics have been penned by Abhijeet Kulkarni and Abhijeet, with music composed by Dev & Ashish, Suchir Kulkarni, and Harshvardhan Wavare. The background score is by Sameer Saptiskar. Nikunj Malpani has contributed as Associate Producer, and Rahul Thombre has choreographed the dance sequences.
