‘Mukkam Post Devache Ghar’ to represent the state at the Film Bazaar 2025 segment of the Goa International Film Festival!
The Marathi film “Mukkam Post Devache Ghar” has been officially selected by the Maharashtra Film, Stage, and Cultural Development Corporation to represent the state at the Film Bazaar 2025 segment of the Goa International Film Festival. The announcement was made by the corporation’s Managing Director, #SwatiMhase Patil.Produced under the banner of Keemaya Productions by Mahesh Kumar Jaiswal and Kirti Jaiswal, the film is directed by Sanket Mane.
The story is set in a rural backdrop and follows a young girl whose mother tells her that her father, a soldier, has gone to be with God after his death. The child’s curiosity about the meaning and whereabouts of “God’s home” forms the heart of the narrative. Meanwhile, the mother’s struggle to secure her late husband’s pension adds a layer of emotional depth. The film presents this touching premise with lighthearted storytelling and engaging execution.For the past decade, the Maharashtra Film, Stage, and Cultural Development Corporation has been actively participating in film markets such as Cannes and Goa International Film Festival’s Film Bazaar, with the goal of providing Marathi cinema a global platform and expanding its reach into international markets.
