Thousands of Devotees Participate in Grand Nagar Kirtan at Char Bangla Gurudwara Sahib!
On Sunday, a grand Nagar Kirtan was organized at Char Bangla Gurudwara Sahib, drawing a gathering of over 5,000 devotees who participated with immense devotion and enthusiasm. The procession began from Lokhandwala Back Road and culminated at Char Bangla Gurudwara Sahib, with the air resounding with chants of “Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.”
Throughout the route, several seva stalls were set up, offering water, tea, juice, sweets, and other prasad to devotees and passersby. The sight of volunteers serving selflessly became one of the highlights of the event, reflecting the true spirit of Sikh service and compassion.
Upon reaching the Gurudwara Sahib, the entire complex was beautifully decorated with over 500 kilograms of fresh flowers, creating a divine atmosphere filled with fragrance and devotion. The congregation participated in soulful kirtan amid the vibrant floral decorations, filling the surroundings with the sacred vibrations of Gurbani.
A spectacular fireworks display illuminated the night sky, adding grandeur to the celebration. The traditional Gatka performance by Nihang Sikhs was another major attraction of the event. Their mesmerizing display of swordsmanship and balance left the audience spellbound and prompted thunderous chants of praise.
Following the Nagar Kirtan, langar seva was organized, where thousands of devotees partook in the sacred meal. Later in the night, the Akhanda Path Sahib commenced at the Gurudwara, infusing the atmosphere with peace, devotion, and spirituality.
The entire event was conducted under the leadership of #SardarJaspalSinghSuri and #ManinderSinghSuri, the president and key members of Char Bangla Gurudwara Sahib. Under their guidance, the Nagar Kirtan emerged as a profound symbol of peace, service, and unity.
This celebration was held to mark the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Prakash Parv. On this day, the Sikh community reflects upon and celebrates the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, which emphasize equality, love, service, and universal brotherhood.
The Nagar Kirtan also featured religious tableaux, the revered Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji’s procession, and depictions of inspiring episodes from Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s life.
The event stood not only as a testimony to devotion and faith but also as a radiant expression of unity, love, and humanity that transcended all boundaries.
