‘Tanvi The Great’ bags the FIPRESCI India Award for Best Feature Film at the Jagran Film Festival!

#AnupamKhers directorial venture Tanvi The Great continues to create waves on the festival circuit. The film has now been awarded the coveted FIPRESCI India Award for Best Feature Film at the Jagran Film Festival, marking a significant milestone for the entire team.

Sharing the proud moment with his followers, Anupam Kher took to social media to express his gratitude and joy. He wrote, “Proud to share that our film #TanviTheGreat has won the prestigious #FipresciIndiaAward for the BEST FEATURE FILM at the Jagran Film Festival. #Freprisci is a global association of professional film critics and journalists that promotes film culture and is known for awarding its own film prize at international festivals.”

The film’s lead actress and rising star Shubhangi Dutt, who has been receiving acclaim for her breakout performance, graciously accepted the award on behalf of the team. Tanvi The Great follows the powerful journey of Tanvi Raina, a young woman on the autism spectrum who dreams of joining the Indian Army to fulfil her late father’s unfulfilled wish — to hoist the national flag at the Siachen Glacier.

Apart from its stellar cast including Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Pallavi Joshi, Arvind Swamy, Nassar, Iain Glen, and Karan Tacker, the film boasts some of the most globally renowned technicians who worked on it. The music of the film is composed by the Oscar-winner MM Keeravaani, with another Oscar-winner, Resul Pookutty doing the sound design. The cinematography was done by Japanese technician, Keiko Nakahara.
