Review : ‘Me No Pause Me Play’ Adresses Medical Themes Like Menopause!
Me No Pause Me Play is a rare Bollywood film that addresses medical themes like menopause, creating awareness much like Padman did. The story follows Dolly Khanna (#KamyaPunjabi), who experiences major changes after motherhood, causing strain in her marriage with Rajat Khanna (#ManojKumarSharma). Dr. Jasmoona (#DipshikhaNagpal) guides her through this phase, and the narrative focuses on self-discovery, resilience, and empowerment through these three central characters.
The performances are heartfelt and authentic. Kamya Punjabi portrays Dolly’s vulnerability and strength with finesse. Manoj Kumar Sharma impresses as Rajat, a carefree husband who puts his family first and eventually evolves for his wife’s sake. Dipshikha Nagpal brings wisdom and steadiness to her role as the guiding doctor, while the supporting cast adds credibility to the storytelling.
Manoj Kumar Sharma stands out not just as an actor but also as the producer and creative force behind the project, shaping this sensitive subject with respect and clarity of vision.
Director #SamarKMukherjee handles the topic with sensitivity, ensuring a smooth narrative flow and genuine emotions. The cinematography and editing support the story without unnecessary drama. Music by Santosh Puri, Shivang Mathur, and Amritanshu Dutta enhances the emotional depth of the film.
Me No Pause Me Play is more than just a film it’s a conversation starter that encourages viewers to understand menopause while offering an emotional yet engaging cinematic experience.
