80 Marathi Film Artists to Clash for the ‘Dombivlikar Cup’!

This year, Dombivli Gymkhana Ground will witness a unique blend of cricket and glamour. Over 80 popular artists from the Marathi entertainment industry will compete on a single field, with thrilling cricket action spread across two days. These matches, organized under the Marathi Celebrity Cricket League (MCCL), will take place on December 6 and 7, 2025. The event is organized by the Dombivlikar community.

This initiative has been realized under the vision of editor and MLA Ravindra Chavan (President, BJP Maharashtra), emphasizing the concept of Dombivlikar as one cultural family.A special feature of this year’s cup is that teams are named after eight legendary figures who have shaped Marathi cinema, paying tribute to these icons. The first team, the Neelu Phule team, is captained by Siddharth Jadhav and includes Nupur Dudhwadkar, Varad Chavan, Rishikesh Patil, Tejas Barve, Suprit Kadam, Shiv Thakare, Rutuja Limaye, and Rutuja Kulkarni. The second, the Bhalji Pendharkar team, led by captain Hardik Joshi, includes Rituraj Phadke, Akash Pendharkar, Amol Naik, Nachiket Lele, Saurabh Chougule, Rohit Shivalkar, Kirti Pendharkar, and Dhanshree Kadgaonkar.

The third team, Dadasaheb Phalke team, captained by Sanjay Jadhav, features Madhav Devchakke, Sujay Dahake, Adish Vaidya, Pradeep Mistri, Vijay Andalakar, Jagdish Chavan, Jayanti Waghadhare, and Namrata Pradhan. The fourth, the Ranjana team, captained by Titiksha Tawde, includes Siddharth Bodke, Ashish Kulkarni, Pranav Ravrane, Prasad Barve, Gaurav Ghatnekar, Umakant Patil, Shantanu Bhake, and Amrita Ravrane.The Pu La Deshpande team is captained by Praveen Tarde, with players Abhijit Kavthalakar, Ajinkya Jadhav, Sagar Pathak, Virat Madke, Chinmay Sant, Anshuman Vichare, and Radha Sagar. The sixth, the Dada Kondke team, captained by Prathmesh Parab, features Vijay Patwardhan, Prithvik Pratap, Gaurav More, Rohan Mapuskar, Vishal Devrukhkar, Krunal Patil, Mayuri Mohite, and Sanjana Patil.The V. Shantaram team, led by Viju Mane, consists of Sandeep Juwatkar, Vinay Raul, Sumit Komurlekar, Abhijit Chavan, Mahesh Limaye, Omprakash Shinde, Prajakta Shisode, and Gauri Ingawale. Lastly, the Bhakti Barve team, captained by Anuja Sathe, includes Saurabh Gokhale, Vaibhav Chavan, Harshad Atkari, Angad Mhaskar, Akshay Waghmare, Anand Kale, Vishal Nikam, and Riya Raj.

For two days, Dombivli will be alive with cricket, enthusiasm, artist camaraderie, and entertainment. The fielding, batting, boundary hits, and friendly competition among the artists will provide spectators with an unforgettable experience.Each team will honor the legendary figure they are named after, adding emotional and cultural depth to the competition. This will be the biggest Marathi Celebrity Cricket League to date, and the ‘Dombivlikar Cup’ promises an electrifying contest that the audience will remember for a long time!
