The first song ‘Shala Marathi’ from “Krantijyoti Vidyalaya – Marathi Medium” released!

This vibrant song from the film “Krantijyoti Vidyalaya – Marathi Medium” revives the values, generations, and priceless legacy passed on by teachers in Marathi medium schools. Directed by #HemantDhome, who recently announced that the music team “The Folk Akhyan” comprising Harsh-Vijay and Ishwar will release five captivating songs, this first track “#ShalaMarathi” has now met the audience.Every line of this song vividly brings alive the identity of Marathi schools, their atmosphere, affection, the love of teachers, and the cultural values imbibed within the school walls. The powerful voice of Rohit Jadhav blends beautifully with the music by Harsh-Vijay and the charming lyrics penned by Ishwar Andhare. The song is sure to evoke nostalgia in everyone.

Director Hemant Dhome elaborates, “In ‘Krantijyoti Vidyalaya – Marathi Medium,’ we aimed to present the reality, determination, and energy of Marathi medium schools on screen. ‘Shala Marathi’ touches the soul of the film. Marathi schools have nurtured many generations, and their values, warmth, and teachings come alive in this song. Rohit Jadhav, who is only 12 years old, brings great color to the track. Rohit hails from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and has been studying Kirtaan under Guru Anatha’s disciple Rameshwarji Maharaj Pawar for the past six years. As a young Kirtaankar from a small village, it is a joy to see his art reach the audience through this song. This is my humble tribute to Maharashtra’s Warkari tradition.”

Music composers Harsh-Vijay share, “While creating ‘Shala Marathi,’ we too felt like returning to our school days. The love for our mother tongue, the touch of teachers, and the energy of childhood were all reflected in our music. Listening to this song will bring back fresh memories of one’s own school, and that is our greatest reward. This is our debut film, and the song’s journey has been unique. We all had a lot of fun making this track. We are thankful to director Hemant Dhome and producer Kshiti Jog for giving us this opportunity.”

Scheduled to release on January 1, 2026, “Krantijyoti Vidyalaya – Marathi Medium” features veteran actor Sachin Khedekar as the school principal. Alongside him, Amey Wagh, Siddharth Chandekar, Kshiti Jog, Kadambari Kadam, Harish Dudhade, Pushkaraj Chirputkar, and debutant Prajakta Koli will star in a strong cast. The film is written and directed by Hemant Dhome, produced by Kshiti Jog’s Chitrapat Mandali, with co-producers Viraj Gawas, Urfi Kazmi (Crazy Few Films), and Ajinkya Dhamal.
