Whistling Woods International Wins Four of Six Awards!

Whistling Woods International (WWI), India’s School of Film, Communication & Creative technologies, delivered outstanding success at #Waves Film Bazaar 2025 and the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). WWI students and alumni earned top honors across major categories, underscoring the institute’s strong industry relevance and creative mastery.

WWI students secured four of the six awards presented at the Student Producers’ Workshop during the five-day Waves Film Bazaar, held in Goa. This remarkable performance reflects the institute’s rigorous training ecosystem and its commitment to nurturing professional excellence.

WWI’s impact extended beyond student achievements to significant alumni recognition at IFFI 2025, where Khoya Paya, directed by WWI alumnus Ashutosh Singh, was selected for the festival and celebrated its world premiere. The film represents a strong collaborative effort by WWI alumni, including:

* Ashutosh Singh – Producer/Writer/Director

* Nishant Tripathi – Co-writer

* Sooraj Bardia – Foley Recordist

* Isha Singh – Assistant Director

* Sidharth Kaherr – Graphic Designer

In addition, Rabiya Nazki, Head of Department – Producing at Whistling Woods International, played a pivotal role in rigorously training, mentoring, and grooming the young producing students whose work gained recognition at the WAVES Film Bazaar.

This cross-disciplinary partnership reflects WWI’s integrated training model, which equips students to collaborate effectively on professional projects. Adding to the accolades, alumni Abhay Sharma and Tejas Shankar Shukul won the prestigious Reborn India Film Distribution Award for their film Chingam under the WFBR section at Waves Film Bazaar 2025. Reborn India Film (RIF) is a pioneering cinematic platform dedicated to empowering, Rohit and Rahul Agarwal, founders of Reborn and WWI alumni.

The award includes a 10-screen theatrical release with distribution support valued at ₹7,00,000. WWI Direction alumna Chahat Mansingka also received the Special Jury Award for Like A Feather In The Wind, which offers complete post-production support and mentorship for festival circuit navigation.
