‘Lahore 1947’ to release during the Independence Day week, this year!

Aamir Khan Productions has announced 13th August 2026, during the Independence Day week, as the theatrical release date for their upcoming period drama ‘Lahore 1947’.

The film brings together Sunny Deal, director #RajkumarSantoshi and producer Aamir Khan for the first time.

Says Aamir, “This was one of the favourite scripts of Dharamji, and I am so glad he could see the film.”

Starring Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, Preiti Zinta, and Karan Deol, with music by AR Rahman and lyrics by Javed Akhtar. ‘Lahore 1947’ marks Sunny’s next project following his recent blockbuster successes.
