Review: Crime 101: Slick Speed and Edge-of-Seat Thrills
Crime 101 starts super simple with Chris Hemsworth as Mike Davis, a smart jewel thief who picks stores with big insurance covers. He never hurts people just does clean, easy heists with fast cars on LA’s 101 road, super smooth and quick. Hemsworth nails the cool but tense vibe, making Mike feel real and edgy, not just a hero type.
His boss Money gives him tips on where to hit next, and Mike pulls it off no sweat, like a pro every time. But after a huge fight with Money, Mike gets fed up and decides to go big on this next job, then chase after Sharon for more.
Detective Lou, played by Mark Ruffalo, spots the pattern and starts hunting him down through rainy city streets and messy police stuff. Ruffalo kills it as the messy, sharp cop rumpled look but super smart, steals every scene like a pro.
Sharon, an insurance broker who’s worked 11 hard years but still no partner spot, tries selling cover to rich guy Monroe for his fancy jewels but fails bad. Mike offers her a deal tell him the inside info on the vault, and he’ll do a clever heist plan with her help. Now the movie turns full suspense: Will Sharon share the secrets? Does James get caught? Watch in theaters to know!
Chris Hemsworth Mike looks cool but stressed inside, every look feels real. Ruffalo’s Lou rocks messy clothes, wild hair, sharp eyes like a smart street cop who talks big. Other cast fits perfect!
