Somy Ali Says That In Her Teens Tabu, Manisha Koirala and Raveena Tandon Were Her Close Friends!
Former Bollywood actor Somy Ali recently took to Instagram to heap praise on her contemporaries — Tabu, Manisha Koirala, and Raveena Tandon — celebrating both their natural beauty and exceptional talent.
Reflecting on her nine-year stint in Hindi cinema during the 1990s, Somy shared that the three actors were among her closest friends during their teenage years in the industry. In her heartfelt appreciation post, she wrote, “Given I was in Hindi cinema in the 90’s for nine years, these three teenage actors were my close friends. This gives me the right to tell you that never have I seen anyone so stunningly and breathtakingly beautiful WITHOUT makeup than these three young ladies. (sic)”
While emphasising their striking natural beauty, Somy also acknowledged their immense acting prowess. She noted that entire books could be written about Tabu’s craft as well as the performances and careers of Manisha and Raveena.
Highlighting the importance of uplifting one another, she added that witnessing someone’s flawless beauty up close without a speck of makeup was worth acknowledging. “Because what else is sisterhood really about otherwise? It’s never ever too late to uplift anyone who is deserving of it,” she wrote.
Her post resonated with fans, who praised the spirit of camaraderie and admiration among the leading ladies of 90s Bollywood.
