Shashank Shende and Onkar Bhojane Come Face-to-Face in ‘Salbardi’!
The playful rivalry between a Sarpanch and a Deputy Sarpanch has always been a talking point in village politics. Now, this lively dynamic will be seen on the big screen. Veteran Marathi actor #ShashankShende and popular comedian #OnkarBhojane will be seen confronting each other in the roles of a Sarpanch and a Deputy Sarpanch.
In the upcoming Marathi film Salbardi, set against a rural backdrop, Shashank Shende will portray Sarpanch Ganpat Patil, while Onkar Bhojane will play Deputy Sarpanch Mukinda Thorat. The rivalry between the two characters, filled with witty dialogues, sharp exchanges, and humorous taunts, along with situations arising from village politics, will add a unique flavor to the story. The film Salbardi is scheduled to release on 17 April.
Speaking about his role, Shashank Shende said, *“The story of Salbardi is mysterious. It also reflects local-level politics and the relationships between people in the village. The tuning that developed between Onkar and me while playing these roles will make it interesting for audiences to watch on screen.”*
Onkar Bhojane added, *“The character of Deputy Sarpanch Mukinda Thorat is very entertaining. Getting the opportunity to work with an experienced actor like Shashank sir is a big thing for me. I am sure the audience will enjoy this on-screen jugalbandi.”*
The film explores mysterious and unsettling incidents taking place in the remote village of *Salbardi* in Maharashtra. Produced under the banner of Nebula Films, the movie is produced by Anil Devde Patil, Dr. Gajanan Jadhav, and Ram Jadhav, while the film is directed by Ramesh Sahebrao Chaudhary.
Along with Shashank Shende and Onkar Bhojane, the film also stars Pooja Sawant, Bharat Ganeshpure, Anshuman Vichare, Rohit Kokate, Kamalakar Satpute, Chittaranjan Giri, Anil Nagarkar, Madhav Abhyankar, Pravin Dalimbkar, Abhay Gite, Rajendra Satardekar, and Komal Chaudhary in important roles.
