Some films in the Marathi film industry manage to spark curiosity right from the beginning. Carrying forward this very tradition, a new film is all set to meet the audience. Titled “Galli No. 13,” the name itself creates intrigue. The first official poster of the film was recently unveiled. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including senior leader Sampatrao Sakale, Samadhan Bodke Patil, Yuvraj Appa Kothule, Navnath Nana Kothule, Dilip Chavan, Shivaji Kasbe, Bhairu Patil Mulane, producers Ramnath Bodke and Rajshri Badgujar, director Mahendra Rambhau Borkar, Sameer Dixit of Pickle Entertainment, writer Dr. S. The poster features the protagonist standing with his back to the viewer, wearing a stylish jacket. A lightning-like visual effect behind him creates an impression as if he is split in two. The cityscape in the background adds to the mystery, giving no clear hint about the storyline. “Galli No. 13” revolves around youth while also highlighting aspects of family values and contemporary social dynamics. The film promises to be a complete entertainment package—making audiences laugh as well as emotional at times.
With a strong storyline complemented by melodious music, the film is filled with emotions such as family, love, culture, dreams, and inner conflicts. It aims to deliver wholesome entertainment and evoke memories of one’s first innocent love. According to director Mahendra Rambhau Borkar, the film attempts to explore different interpretations of pure love, appealing to both Gen Z and older generations.
The story is written by Dr. S. D. Patil, while Rohit Nagbhide will compose the music. The choreography will be directed by Pragya Patil and APH Studio will handle the post-production.
