Cadence 2026: Whistling Woods’ Musical Journey Unfolds
Whistling Woods International, the celebrated creative hub founded by filmmaker #SubhashGhai, recently hosted Cadence Music Festival 2026 from March 30 to April 1 in Mumbai. This annual School of Music event wove together performances, discussions, and hands-on learning, seamlessly connecting Bollywood legends with rising stars in a shared celebration of sound and skill.
It kicked off with Kailash Kher’s captivating opening ceremony, where his “Divine Jammers” style blended soulful bhajans into modern rhythms. As the crowd absorbed his reflections on music’s deeper essence, the energy carried straight into day two’s exclusive panel with Salim-Sulaiman and Sonu Nigam. The composers and playback icon unpacked the craft of iconic tracks, their stories flowing naturally into conversations with Sukhwinder Singh and Ameya Dabli on the thrill of live performance.
Workshops and competitions buzzed alongside, giving emerging artists a chance to test ideas and shine in showcases, while veterans offered real-time guidance. This rhythm built to the closing concert, where WWI students unveiled original compositions fresh, heartfelt pieces that echoed the festival’s spirit of growth rooted in tradition.
