‘Tighee’ Selected as Closing Film at NYIFF 2026!
The Marathi film Tighee is currently the talk of the town, continuing its successful run in theaters thanks to audiences’ spontaneous acclaim. Its content-rich story, powerful performances, and impactful emotional portrayal have carved a special place in viewers’ hearts. Now, adding another feather to its cap, #Tighee has been selected as the closing film at the prestigious New York Indian Film Festival 2026 (NYIFF).
Announced as the closing night film, this honor further elevates the film’s success.

Previously, films from this team—Pune 52, June, Godavari, and Ravasaheb—left their mark at NYIFF. Tighee now becomes their fifth film at this esteemed festival.
