On ‘Double Date’ with Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi, Huma Qureshi Gets Real About Insecurities!
Actor Huma Qureshi joins her brother Saqib Saleem on the newest episode of Double Date, hosted by Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi, where she speaks openly about coping with self-doubt, online trolling, and the path to self-acceptance. Huma revealed that after her second film, persistent remarks about her appearance took a toll. Constant negative feedback from viewers and the press led her to withdraw emotionally for a period.
She explained that the relentless judgement undermined her confidence, but over time she learned to tune out the noise and turn inward. “I began meditating, journaling, and even going to therapy,” she said. “Gradually I felt more secure about myself and my looks. Now I can laugh at jokes—even make fun of myself—and respond to things with a healthier outlook. I feel much more confident and at ease in my own skin.”
The episode also features Huma and Saqib exchanging amusing sibling anecdotes, revealing personal stories, and sharing light-hearted moments, offering viewers a warm and entertaining look at their relationship.
Double Date is available every Thursday on Neha Dhupia’s YouTube channel.
