‘Bandhini’ Explores Woman’s Inner Emotional World!
Marathi cinema has a strong tradition of films that sensitively explore women’s issues. Carrying that tradition forward is Bandhini, which releases on October 9. The film’s poster was recently unveiled at a ceremony attended by the entire team.
Produced by Satya Films, written by Satish Vaghela and directed by Santosh Manjrikar, Bandhini traces the emotional journey of a woman. Centered on Devika, the story delicately examines love, sacrifice, duty, family and the search for one’s identity. Bandhini is not just the tale of one woman’s struggle; it is an emotional journey that redefines the meaning of love, sacrifice and self-respect in every relationship. The film features powerful performances by Ashwini Bagal, Bhushan Shivtare and Yogesh Tanpure, whose portrayals strengthen the narrative.
Director Santosh Manjrikar said, “Today’s women constantly try to balance their dreams with family responsibilities. Bandhini tells the story of such a woman, and it will resonate with many. Our aim is to give audiences a film that makes them think and touches their hearts.”
Producer Satish Vaghela added that Bandhini is more than entertainment; it is an experience that will encourage every family and every woman to see themselves reflected on screen.
Alongside the leads, the cast includes Prasad Surve, Avinash Kirti, Milind Sangavar, Dheeraj Bidwe, Manoj Chaudhary, Goraksh Lokhande, Aditya Salunkhe, Rohit Bhingare, Pratap Kolte, Sheetal Patil, Sheetal Oswal, Rashmi Vyahare and Aarti Pawar.
The music is composed by Rohan Pagare, with music arrangement by Prashant Shantaram Nandgavkar. Renowned singers Kavita Krishnamurthy, Rahul Deshpande, Vaishali Samant and Devika Panshikar lend their melodious voices to the songs.
