The Teaser of ‘Maharashtra Epstein Files’ unveiled!
The upcoming Marathi film Maharashtra Epstein Files has been generating considerable buzz since its announcement. After its intriguing first poster piqued the interest of audiences, the makers unveiled actress Deepali Sayed’s look, further fueling discussions on social media. With the film promising to highlight incidents and fraudulent practices prevalent in society, expectations have been steadily building. The recently released teaser has now added further intrigue, offering glimpses into the film’s intense and thought-provoking world. The film is scheduled to hit theatres across Maharashtra on October 2, 2026.
Presented by Anandi Pictures Amravati and Sachin Rode Patil, Maharashtra Epstein Files is produced under the banners of Flamingo Creation and Matoshree Entertainment. Devendra Bhat, Suryakant Bhunde and Prashant Kadampure have backed the project as producers. Director Swaroopp Sawant explores the darker side of blind faith, superstition and fraudulent practices through this Marathi film.
The teaser begins with a white Toyota Innova Crysta pulling up outside an opulent bungalow. A woman seemingly under the influence of supernatural forces is shown performing an unusual act in a trance-like state. The sequence is followed by Deepali Sayed’s dramatic entry. Akshay Tanksale, who plays the assistant of a self-proclaimed godman, informs him about a woman who has arrived from Amravati carrying a bag filled with money. Deepali’s character then cuts the ring finger of her right hand and carries out a disturbing blood ritual.
The narrative soon moves to the Sahakarnagar Police Station in Nashik, where a young man approaches the police and speaks about the alleged fraudulent activities of a godman who claims to possess supernatural powers. These gripping moments establish the film’s central theme and hint at the revelations that lie ahead.
The teaser also indicates that the film will go beyond exposing one fraudulent godman, attempting instead to uncover the hidden identities and facades of several individuals. Director Swaroopp Sawant said that the teaser serves as an introduction to the film while also encouraging audiences to question what they see around them. He also addressed the opposition and allegations surrounding the film even before its release, appealing to people to watch the movie before forming an opinion.
According to Sawant, the film seeks to bring incidents from society before audiences while balancing its serious subject matter with entertainment. He expressed confidence that the film’s tagline, ‘Now everything will be revealed…!’, will take on greater significance once viewers watch the complete film.
Along with Deepali Sayed, Uday Tikekar and Akshay Tanksale feature in key roles. Sagarkumar S. Jain has written the story, while Sanjay Navgire has handled the screenplay and dialogues. DOP Akash Kakade is responsible for cinematography, with Akshay Ambekar overseeing the art direction. Akanksha Gandhi is the costume designer. Neha Ghodke serves as Production Controller, while Sachin Ghanwat is the Production Head.
With its provocative subject, mysterious characters and references to fraudulent godmen and blind faith, Maharashtra Epstein Files has already sparked curiosity. The teaser has further intensified anticipation for the film’s theatrical release on October 2.
