Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Daayra’ Reveals First-Look Posters Featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in Cop Avatars!

The makers of Daayra have unveiled dynamic solo character posters featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran as DCP Ajooni Kohli and DCP Raman Kumar, respectively.

Kareena Kapoor Khan commands the frame with an intense gaze and an assured, no-nonsense presence as DCP Ajooni Kohli. Framed against moving trucks with police tape spanning across the title logo, her poster creates an atmosphere of urgency and intrigue. Meanwhile, Prithviraj Sukumaran brings a quiet yet formidable intensity to his role as DCP Raman Kumar. Set against a vast field during a press conference, his stern demeanor hints at underlying tension in the unfolding narrative.

Inspired by real-life events, the crime drama is directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Meghna Gulzar and co-written with Yash Keswani and Sima Agarwal. The film marks the first collaboration between Junglee Pictures and Pen Studios, while serving as Meghna’s third project with Junglee Pictures following Talvar and Raazi.

Produced by Junglee Pictures and Dr. Jayantilal Gada (Pen Studios), and distributed by Pen Marudhar, Daayra is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 18, 2026. The official trailer is set to drop on August 31, 2026.
