Anup Jalota Launches ‘Bhaktidwar’ After a Decade of Dedication, Calling It a Gateway to Devotion and Peace!
Mumbai recently hosted the grand launch of the ‘Bhaktidwar Television App’, a unique digital platform combining devotion, spirituality and modern technology. Renowned bhajan singer and Padma Shri awardee Anup Jalota inaugurated the app and unveiled its official logo. Guests at the event were also given a preview of the devotional and spiritual programmes that will soon be available on the platform.
Actors Sandeep Mohan and Sanjay Swaraj attended the launch. Both actors have been associated with special shows produced for ‘Bhaktidwar’. Contributors and distinguished guests present at the event were felicitated with commemorative mementos.
A Dream Realised After Ten Years
Dinesh Asopa, the founder of the ‘Bhaktidwar Television App’, shared that the platform was born from a dream he had nurtured for nearly a decade.
“I have been working on this app for the past 10 years. Our aim was never to create just another OTT platform. We wanted to develop a digital space where people could find devotional, spiritual and Sanatan Dharma-related content under one roof. Watching this vision finally come to life is an extremely emotional and memorable moment,” said Asopa.
The app will offer a wide range of content, including religious series, devotional songs, mantras, chalisas, spiritual discourses, animated programmes, AI-generated videos and live broadcasts of religious events. Through technology, ‘Bhaktidwar’ aims to make Sanatan culture and spiritual values accessible to viewers in India and around the world.
Keeping affordability in mind, the subscription has been priced at just ₹11 per week.
#AnupJalota Applauds the Initiative
Speaking at the launch, Anup Jalota expressed his appreciation for the concept and said, “I have personally entered Bhaktidwar. It is not merely an app; it is a gateway to devotion, happiness and peace. In today’s stressful world, people are facing anxiety, pressure and emotional challenges. Remembering God, listening to bhajans and embracing spirituality can provide genuine peace of mind. I am confident that Bhaktidwar will connect millions of people with spirituality and bring positivity into their lives.”
He further observed that devotional music and spiritual content are increasingly attracting younger audiences as well.
“When people are under stress, remembering God and immersing themselves in devotion can offer immense comfort. Bhaktidwar is a meaningful initiative that carries this positive message to a wider audience,” he added.
Dinesh Asopa thanked Anup Jalota for his constant guidance and support, acknowledging that his encouragement played an important role in transforming the project into reality.
Spiritual Content in a Contemporary Format
Several original series created for the platform have been directed by filmmaker Jaidev Chakravorty. These programmes explore spiritual themes through a contemporary storytelling style while preserving their devotional essence.
The launch ceremony was hosted by Bhawna Sharma, a popular anchor associated with Doordarshan Dehradun.
The event was also attended by members of Asopa’s family and close friends, highlighting the personal significance of the occasion. His father Jugal Kishore Asopa, daughters Divya Asopa and Nikita Asopa, and brother-in-law Jayesh Mishra were present to celebrate the completion of his decade-long journey.
Sandeep Mohan and Sanjay Swaraj also praised the platform, stating that positive, inspirational and spiritual content has become increasingly important in today’s fast-paced lifestyle.
With growing interest in devotional and religious programming, the ‘Bhaktidwar Television App’ seeks to create a digital space dedicated to faith, positivity and inner peace for audiences across India and the globe.
