Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha’s Music Label Benaras Beat Debuts With the Launch of Soulful Single Barish Aur Tum!

Celebrated filmmaker and producer-writer Anubhav Sinha, renowned for crafting compelling stories and box-office hits, has officially expanded his creative horizons with the launch of his independent music label, Benaras Beat. Born out of a deep personal passion for music that took root nearly eight years ago, the new venture serves as a platform for original, independent compositions. By bringing together a dedicated team of composers and artists, Sinha aims to offer audiences music that reaches beyond traditional film soundtracks and showcases a fresh dimension of his artistic vision.

Reflecting on the vision and personal connection behind the venture, Anubhav Sinha shares: “There is a very interesting saying that if you want to do something and you don’t do anything about it, then it’s a dream; if you want to do something and you do a lot about it, then it’s an ambition. Benaras Beat was formed in my head and in the office about 7-8 years back. I love music, so much so that 3 years back I started learning music. It’s my passion for music since childhood, there is music playing in my room all the time.”

Carrying this vision forward, Benaras Beat has officially released its very first song under the label, titled Barish Aur Tum. Marking an exciting debut for the platform, the track is sung by vocalist Abdul Shaikh and explores themes of nostalgia, gentle romance, and quiet reflection. Adding an innovative visual dimension to the release, the music video is crafted through a unique half-AI and half-human animation process, beautifully contrasting serene mountain landscapes with reflective cityscapes to illustrate how a simple downpour can bring back vivid memories of loved ones.
