Glamour and Masti Take Centre Stage in AfraTafari, ‘Houun Jau De’ Song Released!
The new song ‘Houun Jau De’ from the upcoming Marathi film *#AfraTafari* has been released, offering audiences a glimpse into the film’s vibrant and entertaining world. Featuring glamorous looks, colourful lighting, a playful mood and peppy music, the song brings together all the elements of a celebratory musical number.
The song gains additional appeal from the glamorous presence of *The Kerala Story* fame Pranali Ghogare. Her captivating style and expressive performance add to the overall charm of ‘Houun Jau De’, making it an instant attention-grabber.
One of the song’s most distinctive features is that the entire track has been lip-synced at 48 frames per second. This is reportedly the first time that an entire song in a Marathi film has been executed using this technique. Earlier, a similar experiment was seen in the 1992 film *Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar*, in the song ‘Pehla Nasha, Pehla Khumar’, which was filmed on Aamir Khan. Although the technique has since been used in several experiments, filming an entire song with lip-syncing at 48 frames per second is unprecedented in Marathi cinema. The process was challenging both from a filming and technical perspective.
The card game, glittering ambience and the carefree attitude of the actors make ‘Houun Jau De’ a colourful musical celebration perfectly suited to the fun-filled universe of *Afra Tafari*. The song’s infectious energy and glamorous touch are sure to tempt audiences to dance along to its rhythm.
Sung powerfully by Mugdha Karhade, the song has been composed by Varun Likhate, with lyrics penned by Mandar Cholkar. The choreography has been handled by Rahul Thombre.

The mood of the song is such that your feet should start tapping from the very first beat. Mugdha Karhade’s powerful voice has added a distinctive energy to the track. This song perfectly complements the lively atmosphere of *Afra Tafari* and will certainly make audiences enjoy themselves.”
Director #MilindZumberKawade said, “‘Houun Jau De’ is perfectly suited to the lively and mischievous atmosphere of *Afra Tafari*. Along with glamour, the song also showcases the actors in a fun and entertaining avatar. We have experimented by lip-syncing the entire song at 48 frames per second. It was extremely challenging from both the filming and technical perspectives. The lip-sync had to match precisely with every beat of the song and every movement of the actors. This required meticulous attention to detail throughout the shoot. The actors also thoroughly enjoyed the process. I am confident that audiences will enjoy the song and find themselves dancing to its rhythm.”
Directed by Milind Zumber Kawade, *Afra Tafari* is presented by Skyline Cinematic and Yen Movie Studios, in association with Out of the Box Films. The film is scheduled to release on 9 October.
The film features a strong ensemble cast, including Mohan Agashe, Shashank Shende, Sanjay Narvekar, Omkar Bhojane, Neha Khan, Prajakta Hanamghar, Asawari Joshi, Hemant Patil and Kiran Mane.
